"We Are The New Vintage"

I am! I had a baby last August. After getting down to 168 I ballooned up to 225 at the height of my pregnancy( I had some BP issues, but everyone is healthy yay!) Right now I am at 180 doing P90x with the boys (my brother and husband). It has been hard to get my weight back down because I have been breastfeeding so modifying my diet is tricky. I did not end up doing derby... yet. The thought of breaking bones is intimidating. I did, however, find a burlyQ dance class in town last week which sounds fun(and less painful possibly). My daughter wrangled me into doing the timed 5k for our local Race for the Cure in October. I will call that a win if I can keep pace with her ;)
It is fantastic that you are focusing on your health! Go you! Try not to let the scale be your only gauge of success. After my health issues last year I started to refocus on BP levels and lipids and sugars too (all in good levels now). I will get to a healthy BMI but the scale is not my end all be all for thinking how healthy I am or am not. What are some of the things you are doing? I like snagging good ideas ;) Good Luck!
