I used to have skin just like that, it was such a pain to find make up that worked!! My number 1 suggestion is to head to a department store, skip the drug store brands, spend your money on the good stuff. My favorite foundation is Dior Air Flash. It's a spray and gives a soft, flawless finish. I also use MAC concealer (in the pot). However, I no longer have that type of skin, mine is "normal" now with acne scars to cover.... and I tend to do Drag Queen style make up, lol. That being said, the Air Flash is hands down the BEST foundation I've ever used, give it a shot, everyone who has used it falls in love with it.

Thanks for the advice!!!! I love drag and the whole style of drag so i will soooooo going check out Dior Air Flash.

Roxy totally turned me on to Dior Air Flash... love it!

I would also like to recommend Cover FX. The foundation is great and you really only need a little bit to cover up blemishes. Paired with the powder foundation, I got great coverage that wasn't heavy looking or would look chunky by the end of the day.

Concealer will also play a huge part with covering up scars, etc and MAC's concealer is by far my fave (seriously Roxy know's her stuff).

While the items aren't super cheap, it's a good investment! Take the time to take care of your skin and it will take care of you.... by looking fabulous. :)

My secret weapon to soften the appearance of acne scars and help with oily skin is the Porefessional primer from benefit.... It makes any foundation glide on so much better!  Amazing cosmetics also has a fabulous concealer!!

Clinque's new Stay Matte oil-free liquid foundation is extremely nice & I tend to dislike anything with a Clinique logo... but it is fabulous, lasts all day long without caking up. Clinique's newest concealer is also really nice but I cannot remember the name. IF you find these do not have enough coverage Hourglass recently came out with a mattifying liquid foundation that sets similar to a powder called Immaculate Liquid Powder... Hourglass always produces fabulous coverage foundations. It looks flawless & natural. It's on the pricey side being about $55
