Regisering a Pinup name?

I was wondering if Pinup names need to be registered anywhere or if there is a place you can look to make sure no one else has the name already.

They do not have to be registered, but it is a good idea to make sure no one has the one you want. The best way to go about it is it google, yahoo, ask.com, etc the name you want. Use the search here on PL and over on MM, facebook, twitter, tumblr, etc. If NOTHING comes up, use the name! 

One other thing, if the name you want is taken, don't just spell it a different way. Models work hard to build reputations, stealing a name is like s******* on all their work. You don't want things to get ugly, lol.

In Australia we have Annie's costume parlour that registers Burlesque and Pin Up names, if you're into burlesque, or want to promote yourself on the Ministry of Burlesque they have HUGE registry, its mainly based in Britian, but all over the world uses it!
