Is anyone else having major issues with facebook?

I cant even log in and when I try to I am required to put my REAL name. When I try to put in my pseudonym or "pinup" name it tells me its a fake name. Well yes it is, but I see two major issues with this

1. Of all the performers, artists, builders, stripers, etc etc I know id say 80-90% of them use fake names. Its part of the culture, the branding of our businesses etc - NO ONE KNOWS ME BY MY REAL NAME!

2. What about people who have names that I am sure won't pass the "computer checkpoint". I have a friend named Holly Wood. That's her real legal birth given name! How are we supposed to get around this? What a horrible stipulation this is.

I have now been blocked for 10 min from facebook and can try again, but really  really dont want to put my real name up.

Is anyone else having this problem?? HELP!

Facebook wasn't built for what you're trying to use it as. For your alias you'll need a page not a profile.

But Ive had this page forever! and its never been an issue :(

They've been getting slicker, you can appeal it but you'll need to prove it's your real name. They are in the final stages of flipping on the timeline view to pages, which is why they are probably locking down profiles even more.
