I live in probably one of the most humid cities in the US.  I have tried so many different products when it comes to trying to control the flyaways or frizz and have yet to find one that I like and works really well. I have wavy hair so needless to say when the humidity is up so is my hair. Anyone else have this problem? Any recommedations? Thanks in advance.

I know your pain, I have medium thick hair with a bit of a curl in it and always have to keep an eye out for frizz. The products I've found most effect are (I only shop the department stores for beauty products, so they're rather inexpensive as well):

-Pantene Pro-V, Medium-Thick Creme, Straighten and Smooths- I put this on prior to styling to give my look a frizz free base. http://www.pantene.com/en-US/hair-care-products/product/anti-frizz-...

- When Straightening hair or teasing hair with a blow dryer, using a serum such as Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum.

-If curling hair, using a curl cream (instead of mouse) such as Bed Head Foxy Curls Curl Cream

-When I can afford it, I get a deep conditioning keratin treatment at the salon. There are also conditioners that contain keratin that you can use each time you shampoo. It DRAMATICALLY reduces my frizz for at least 4 weeks after I get it. I go to a Paul Mitchell school for my hair so I get theres....

Basically, just using products that have a thick, cream base helps tame the frizz.

Also, hairspray helps lock hairs into place....

Good Luck with your battle with the frizz, and know your not alone lol ;)

Depending on hair texture I ll use Progloss Shine serum ( find it at Sallys) or Murrays super light ( really good for dense thick hair) and then the Axe refined pomade for when I want curls that will hold without frizz. I must admit I am still looking for the Perfect Product tho :)

Being that I live in dry California we don't have to worry TOO much about humidity.  I, however, live near the bay which cause a slight problem by our standards.  lol.  I have found that Bed Head's Afterparty works very well for flyaways and frizz.  After I blow out my hair I can apply a small amount of the product and walk away comfortable enough in the event I am too lazy to flatiron that day, something I was never able to do before I found this product.  Hope it works for you too.
