I have been using an Urban Decay pencil liner. I am pretty happy with its Ability to stay put. However, I am unable to get the desired point at the corners of my eyes. I have considered switching to a liquid liner, but I am a little unsure about application. Any tips or product recommendations?

You can get that cat-eye look with a pencil liner but the trick is a precise point on the pencil and a light touch.  You may have to sketch in the outline and then fill in.  Another option is shadow and a wet angled stiff liner brush.  As far as using liquid liner a great way to practice is by dotting it on along the lash line, placing a dot where you'd like the liner to end and then drawing from outside to the inside or from the middle to the inside and then from the middle to the outside.  Liquid liner, however, can be difficult to control so another good option is a cream or gel liner applied with a stiff angled liner brush.  Typically, drawing from the outside in is the easiest method.

I just tested Urban Decay's waterproof liquid eyeliner.  Its great and it stays on forever!  It has a very small brush applicator which can give you a lot of control  for the wings and inner corners.  What I do though is apply the liquid eyeliner beginning  from the highest point of the downward slope on the inner area of the eyelid to the outer corner of the eye.  From there I like to us a small stiff angled liner brush, like the last post had stated.  First because it helps set the line (so it drys faster); second I "pull" the liner to the inner corner and then move to the outer corner to create my wings.  Once I started this process I found I have more precise wings and even-ness of the line.  Hope this wasn't too confusing.  Good luck!

After years of trying different liners I finally found the holy grail of liquid liners. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof liner is my hands down favorite ever! It gives a very thin line so you can build it up. My second favorite is MAC fluid line in Blacktrack. It's a gel, not a liquid and it gives a nice thick line.

We have a thread about liners in general, and it should answer any questions you might have. http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/what-do-you-gorgeous-gal...

I used to use liquid liner but I have shaky hands so it tends to smudge easily during application. I switched to Sephora waterproof smokey creme liner it only smudges if you WANT it to. It lasts all day and wears really nicely, plus you can choose the width of your line just by how much pressure you put on the brush. :)

Thank you so much ladies! You have all been very helpful.

I used to have a lot of trouble with liquid liner however I think the best way (for me anyways) is to lightly draw the lane u want in pencil and then follow that with a liquid liner over the top until you feel comfortable with liquid and also experiment with different brush tips ^.^ I really want to try liner gel as I love the variety of colours it comes in lol

practice makes perfect!, if your still new to liquid liners i would try a felt tip liner. Those are the best!
