"We Are The New Vintage"
I am looking to be able to do my own hair and make up for photoshoots and would love to know what pointers you have. Yes, I have watched video after video, but I want to know what you think really works. Do you have a favorite beauty product that you feel completes your look? How about a go to, knock 'em dead hairstyle? Do you know of an affordable matte finish eyeshadow that still looks good? How about tricks to getting a flawless finish without having access to an airbrush? My hair does not appreciate being teased, it would rather just fall right back where it started, so do you have a suggestion for bombshell volume? Ok, here is another one ... What do you do to help minimize your pores?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing about all of your suggestions!

Wow, there are a lot of questions in there! Let's see... where to start....
Favorite beauty product that completes my look... Air Flash by Dior. It is hands down the best foundation I've every used, and it would take a miracle to get me to change. Also, false lashes. I feel kinda naked without them.
Go-to hairstyle, triple victory rolls. I can knock them out in a few minutes and always get compliments. From little old ladies to little girls, everyone seems to like them.
For eye shadow I use a lot of sparkle and shimmer, but for matte my 88 pallet always wins. Every color I need, amazing pigment and truly matte.
Flawless finish... back to my Air Flash. I've tried other airbrush make up, almost every liquid and powder foundation out there and NOTHING works as well as Dior. It is worth every penny and I own it in 4 different colors, just in case my color changes day to day.
Bombshell volume, John Frieda Luxurious Volume Root Booster is a great product. Also, blow dry your hair at the root upside down as a base. Then spray before you tease, tease, spray again, tease some more, place where you want it, and LACQUER! I use a cheap spray like TRESemme while I'm styling, then Elnett to set and one last coat of Aquanet before I leave the house. My hair doesn't move or fall...ever.

Alright, let me see here.
The beauty product that completes my look is probably red lipstick... Love That Red by Revlon in particular. I can throw on some mascara and that and be ready to go in five minutes.
My goal to hairstyle is tousled tight curls. Usually I'll put in some curl defining serum, scrunch it while I blow dry it upside down, and then wrap random sections around a teeny curling iron. I bobby pin them to my head until I'm all finished, mist on some hairspray, and then mess them up a little with my fingers.
I really love Revlon's matte eyeshadow (I am a Revlon fan, as you can probably tell). They are highly pigmented, true matte, but with a slightly creamy texture when you apply. Awesome, very little cheek fallout.
For a flawless finish, I dust on a very light layer of Revlon ColorStay Pressed Power in Translucent. (I told you, I love Revlon.) It keeps my makeup from budging for up to 16 hours, and gives me a porcelain finish.
My hair holds volume pretty well, but I've found that for fine hair, the key is not using too much hairspray. It just ends up weighing it down. Also, like Roxy said, spray before you tease.
Last one! To minimize my pores, I put on a mask of cinnamon, honey, and ginger and rinse with cool water, then run an ice cube over my face. It works like magic. Hope this helped!
AWESOME, thank you both! I have actually been using Revlon Photoready Airbrush Foundation, it seems to be working well with a dusting of L'Oreal TrueBlend powder. I have also been playing with L'Oreal Magi Lumi Primer as a highlighter and it works really well. I will definently look into the one from Dior as well as the True Matte line. Is the mask one you make or is it something you buy? I can't wait to give it a shot! As for hair, we shall see, maybe I will get wild and crazy and attempt to try it tonight :D. Have you purchased from BH Cosmetics? Is that the 88 palette you were speaking of Roxy? Thanks, Jessie!
I make the mask myself! It's super easy, no exact measurements, you just dump stuff in a bowl. Also, I absolutely ADORABLE BH Cosmetics, and I highly recommend them.
Woohoo, I do believe a little concocting is in my plan for this evening! Have a favorite moisturizer?
Gotta love Aqua Net! Its the ol' "go to" for wind proof hair! lol.
For volumizing, I like Aquage's Volumizing mousse. Apply to wet hair and use a LARGE round brush when you blow dry to maximize volume. Warning though; this product can get itchy if worn on a long drawn out day. Prior to styling, lift sections of hair and spray a quick spritz of hairspray to really secure that height.
I like Clinique's pore minimizer refining lotion to wear under your make up, as a prep. I used it on my wedding and these craters weren't visible at all! Plus if you have an itch on your face, the makeup won't slide off when you scratch it, which is what I have found is a problem with other products.

Thanks Crissy! I am anxious to try all of these fun tricks.
Roxy: I have been using Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser and it is great! My skin feels wonderfully smooth without harsh exfoliating. Also, if you have sensitive skin, use baby wash clothes to help rinse your face. I have found if I use a regular one, my face tends to be extra irritated. I have tried a few moisturizers and really like the Aveeno Ultra-Calming Daily Moisturizer to wear during the day.
