Picture Pirates

Theyre the guys that come behing you and steal your shots are car shows! What do you think about em? Is it cool? Im looking for other photogs insight! Here are two situation were Pirates attacked.

What we would do for my car and models site when we went to shows was actually have someone monitor our backs for those guys letting them know this was a closed shoot however they were welcome to fire from "behind the scenes" angles. The girls that would go with us also knew that they only looked at one lens, ours.

That"s about all you can really do ................... I personally try and shoot other places ( car show shot's are kinda busy looking for me ...) I have a car shoot coming up at Marcos' garage very soon and I'll post up my stuff for ya all to see........................

Haha i just found a solution I just came up on a theater border strap. You know those things inside the theaters that keep anyone from passing. Im gonna put it far behind me and pay a couple kids to harass people that pass the border.

well, i think they all suck...some pirates are cool, but if they ever tried to publish, get on there ass, i'm sure YOU had a contract with the model, not that guy...

the thing is. .... everyone has a camera, and loves to use it!!!

other people have shitty flashes, and crap angles and unwanted signs in the back ground of there photos, and lawnchairs and fat men exposed with a model and a hotrod ALSO in the frame...
right?
all you can do is say something at the time, train your models to even say something to the other photographers (pirates), the model is under contract to have her photo taken by YOU, and nobody else, right?
if you dont have time to FLip them the bird, ignor... WONDER BOY, you clearly rock, i've seen your work, only focus on your images, the pirate probally got a bad image...
for the amount of people online seeing your photographs (people put your images on THEiR myspace's too) you cant do too much about it!

My dad made a suggestion to me a while back, he told me that I should wear a bright orange vest with reflective stuff on it..... I'm not into the bright orange vest.... but maybe making a t-shirt or few for my friends too with some lovely reflective decorations on it haha, any photographer trying to get a shot behind me would be pretty upset to have stuff like that in their lens.

I've seen guys who own the car demand that people back off so the photographer can get a good shot and still breathe.
you seem to have captured those moments quite well even though you probably had people pushing to get good pix on their sidekicks and such. :)
