2009 PL Calendar, TIME FOR YOUR VOTES ! ! !

The initial round of voting is complete on the 2009 PL Calendar Photos. The surprise next step involves YOU! Over 600 images were submitted, obviously not all made it past the initial round of voting. So now the finalists album is public and will allow YOU to rate photos like crazy to select the best of the best. Your ratings count once, but we want you to look at things from a quality perspective, don't worry that you don't vote for yourself or your best friend, no one will ever know! Unlike other contests I like anonymity to avoid cat fights. Voting is open until midnight (PST) on FRIDAY! Thats 5 days of madness so spread the word to all your friends! You do need to be registered to vote. With that said keep the following in mind when helping us select the winners:

1: It is not about the model, its about quality photos!

2: Sooooo, check for:
- creativity
- a natural looking pose
- a natural smile
- a well lit photograph
- a well framed photo, any limbs cut off? any lightposts coming out of peoples heads?
- great makeup, I don't have to tell you how to do that ;)

That's ashame he left..His photos were amazing..Thanks for clearing that up.

Don't go by what you see, the number of comments on a photo or number of views means nothing, just a tidbit, many of the current TOP photos have 0 comments. 3 people voting a photo Five stars, could drive that photo to the top, while a photo getting rated 10 times, with 2 five star votes, and a couple ones and twos may not match the one with 3 five star votes. How many tenths is that? Yup, serious business... One photographer pulled out his photos this morning stating the "competition" was a joke. Little did he know that his photo was by the numbers well ranked. Oh well, go ahead and walk off stage while your public views, it's not on us =) And don't mind being near the last pages either, many photos near the last pages have the top rank, this means people are totally being picky, which is fantastic. Think you know the outcome by selecting "Display by Top Rated"? BRRRRT The software will not count all the decimal places in the database, all 1s,2s,3s, etc will be lumped in chunks in no real order...

As you can see ranking has GREAT power vs voting. And of course, there are more than 12 slots for the calendar, and we will make sure its an amazing and diverse spread. Nowhere did we state ONLY/ALL THE TOP 12 PHOTOGRAPHS would make it in...

NOW GO VOTE! ! ! ! Be as picky as we are! It's anonymous!

I'm glad you are using the ratings, i noticed the other photo ranking systems were a little askew. When I first joined I would sort the photos by popularity, etc and noticed some were like 25 pages in despite the fact that they had an equal number of views as the number one but no comments.
