I'll admit it, I'm totally addicted to magazines. Glossy pages, fashion trends, and page size adds telling about the newest lipstick on the market, what's not to love?

My modern favs are Allure and Harper's Bazaar. I like the fact that every month it's the exact same format. I can find what I want to read and skip the crap. I also love the interviews they do. More Fergie, yes please! And of course, the fashion!!

My sub-culture favs are Rockabilly Mag, although I wish it was all glossy and no black & white. I love when they do spreads on events. Best way to catch up on and see pics from what I missed half way across the country. And of course Retro Lovely, because how can you not like all that Pretty in one place!

So I'm wondering, what's your favorite magazine? Modern (like Cosmo) or lifestyle related (like Retro Lovely)? One of each maybe? Why? What is it about that mag that keeps you going back every month?

My new favorite is a special edition magazine called Burlesque Bible from Anthem Publishing in the UK. It is a beautiful, high quality publication.

Retro Lovely has the best photography avail anywhere!!! I also like alt, is it still going tho? Milkcow and RABID are awesome. Javas Bachelor Pad is filled with a great diversity of photos and text. I love the drink recipies! I also like the model and artist features in Bizarre, i do NOT like the fish sex and other f****d up stuff. I do like all the random stuff you learn while reading it. Varla was awesome too! For modern well i dont really look at em too much. Vouge has the best ads. NYLON is good too. I like their style although i dont get a lot of the music stuff its a bit too indie all around for me but visually its cool and the ads are cool. bound by ink and other tattoo culture mags are cool like inked. ok i guess im a mag whore too! :)

As far as modern glossies go, I was being sent some fashion magazine (I don't recall which, but not Vogue) and I just didn't relate to anything in it! I had to call the publisher and ask them to stop. I did once win a subscription to Inked, but after I sent them my address info, I never heard from them again! Not when I asked when I could expect my first issue, not when I asked if maybe I'd omitted some pertinent contact information that they needed, nothing! So a big, fat raspberry to them: Thbbbbppppt!

Anyway, I stick with Bachelor Pad and Reminisce, flip through stacks of mid-'50s pulp magazines that I have, and wish that I had the time to read more!

Deadbeat, The Pinup Magazine & Inked

Does the SkyMall mag count? I love that magazine because every time I look at it I'm in a plane on my way to some where awesome! ;)

My favorite its one named "Digital Camera", because i can learn thousands of phototricks and im already subscribed to National Geographyc. Sometime i take a look to "Vogue" & "Rolling Stones" for learn more about studio photography.

Anyway i read evereythings fall on my hands.. (yes, also the tv instructions manual XDD)
I follow some blogs about photography, and a vintage based blog from a friend (if somebody want to read it, just tell me). And for last, but not less important i follo one webpage were i write sometimes.

Yes... Im a Photography Freak XD

I love the retro film and star magazines that I see out occasionally....

One I particularly like (although I am not sure if its still being published) is called "Films of the Golden Age" I have an issue from Summer 2006 featuring a review of the movie "The Falcon and the Co-Eds".  I will still pick it up occasionally and re-read it... the mark of a good magazine...

Oh yeah and Famous Monsters of Filmland :) (I am a Forry Ackerman mark for sure!)

Ross

Not really into many magazines right now. I do like Women's fitness magazine, Latina and will look at the tabloid mags while waiting to check out at the grocery store. I haven't yet been able to pick up a Retro Lovely magazine :(

Vouge, Harpers bazzar, Bizarre mag, skin, gothic beauty and cottage living along with anything that evil martha stuart is doing.

I like browsing through all sorts, but I always end up back at Reminisce! I just love reading all the old stories. Sometimes I find some neat tricks or recipes in there from back in the days
