I've tried most of the typical old fashioned hairstyles (victory rolls, page boy, pin curls) and would really like to try something new and different! Anyone has any cute ideas, pictures or tutorials I'd greatly appreciate it! :o Hints and tricks for doing ANY hairstyle on thick fluffy hair would also be great.

Thanks, Cotton candy

I would also be very interested in any advice, ideas, suggestions, etc.!
We have some hairstyle tutorials on our blog. I hope this helps! Hometown Victory Girls
I have the same problem, thick hair, i can hardly keep hair combs in them!
LOL Someone asks this question-been trying to figure it out myself for a while-most tutorials I have found the woman have straight or thin hair so of course its easy to do all those styles-but what about wavy or thick, or curly hair. Any thoughts anyone?
I would think it would be easier! As a girl with fine straight hair I am using tons of products to make my hair curl and fuller! Everyone curled their hair in the 40's!
I have thick hair too. I find that taking a flat iron to my hair first then going and doing a thermal set really helps the cause. It redueces the frizz and eases the curl. So I can put in smooth workable curls. Also try using those alligator clips??? They work better then hair combs
I dont have a problem with curl-its thats its too much hair! lol I am putting aside my hot rollers today and trying the sponge rollers-will also attempt a vintage hairstyle-will let you know how it all goes down xox

Question for Syeira;  Is your family background Irish or Scottish?  You've got the "celtic" curls going on, I think.  I'm curious b/c I have thick thick hair that that waves and tends to frizz.  I've been researching this and I may have inherited my Scottish grandmother's "Scottish hair."  It's a struggle to deal with and I'm giving up on looks that require it to be straight.  I wonder if looks that work *with* this type of hair's natural curl would work better than fighting it and trying to make it straight.

I'm trying to make friends with my Scottish hair rather than curse at it so much...  :)

hi I wanted to look into the site but it came out wrong can you please resend :)

Be sure to let us know! My hair is long, very thick and wavy and I have similar troubles- that and keeping in the curls all day! I usually get my hair thinned out, but even then it's ridiculously thick!
