New TV series: Playboy Club

Another new series this fall is NBC's Playboy Club. Set in 1963 (just like Pan Am, http://www.pinuplifestyle.com/forum/topics/new-tv-series-pan-am) it's all about, you guessed it, the legendary Playboy Club in Chicago. This one looks really good too, and I'm totally looking forward to fall TV.

I know its not vintage but I'm so addicted to My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on TLC! The clothes and makeup are just so extravagant it's amazing. And their culture is so fascinatingly old school yet their appearance is so provocative. Love it!

OK, so who watched it?  I wasn't expecting it to be so dramatic, but then again, I never really saw too many commercials.  I guess I was expecting it to be more of a retro "Girls Next Door."  But I like it.  And I will def keep watching!

I liked it. The girls were pretty, the story was good for a starter and the clothes and hair were awesome. My only issue was the male lead... did anyone else think that he watched a few too many episodes of Mad Men before he went on? It's like they told him, "Be Don Draper... but ya know, in the mob".

 

However, over all, after one episode my main thought was.... BUNNYS..... HAWT. *drool*

I heard that it's possible it might be cancelled. Only 6 episodes were filmed and more than half of the cast are in 3 episodes tops! :/ Let's see what happens.
