They should change the name of the site to "BOUTIQUE LIFESTYLE"

Since people selling things routinely hijack the site. Currently 10+ pages of different views of shirts and buttons...

Hi Umpire, I'll casually address your concern here. For those 10 vendor product pages there are ~9000 pages of photographs showing what you're looking for. The site is for lifestyle related products, photography, modeling, people, cars, bikes etc. Thus the name.  I can understand your frustration however, there are times when I feel facebook needs to be called appbook. I don't go to my profile to see apps, I go to see faces and updates.

My suggestion to you is to take advantage of our awesome "I'm Feeling Lucky" feature, go ahead roll the dice and you'll be quickly transported to the hotness you seek on another page.

That would make models, photographers, and vendors uploading photos right when they join the site very very frustrated ;) We don't aim to make the process of keeping your profile updated tedious, we want it to be easy for all.  Take advantage of the same suggestion I passed onto Umpire above, Rolling the Dice will soon be your favorite discovery...

Here's to hoping for a daily upload limit.
Umpire, thanks for sharing your concerns. We try hard to maintain a great experience here for everyone, and really appreciate hearing feedback such as yours. It helps us identify things that can use our attention. Your post here has sparked lots of discussion behind-the-scenes on what we can do to address this. While we've always encouraged vendors to upload their product photos, Edson and I can both understand your frustration. We've already stumbled on a vendor that had a few non-lifestyle related photos slip through our approval process and are working on trimming down those images. We'll be racking our brains over the next couple of days to develop a more long-term solution. Stay tuned for more info, and thanks again for sharing. :)

Mac, thanks for the suggestion on a daily upload limit. Like Edson said, though, it's probably not the best solution for our community at this time. We encourage models & photographers to keep their portfolios updated, and if someone hasn't been online in awhile we'd hate to miss out on seeing their newest work if there is a limit to the amount of images they can add. Or, think of a new member's impression of our community - the core of which is undeniably art & photography - if they weren't able to add their entire existing portfolio online. Though we can't satisfy everyone, we definitely want to make as many members of the community as happy as possible. To do that, as I said above, we'll be spending the next few days trying to come up with a great solution for this. Thanks for your reply and please continue offering any feedback or suggestions you may have for this issue or any others! :)
I thoroughly enjoy the site and think it's perfect just as it is. Like Edson and Desiree said, a daily upload limit would also limit photogs and models, and that in turn would make the site less usable to those people.
... so is this a bad time to tell y'all about the really cool Barbie-style vintage wedding dress I just got in with a metal zipper?
Pictures or it didn't happen. And who can tell what a dress looks like really, unless a cute model is in it?

Okay, so it isn't the one I just got in, but it is a metal zipper dress, meaning it is pre-70s, and it is a Barbie dress.  And the model is cute.  Not really pin-up, though.  Photo credits to richardwangphotography.com and the model is Kelsey.

It was not out of line to suggest it, but please know that we edit a ton of stuff you don't see. The reason you don't see people uploading 10+ pages at a time is because we make sure that doesn't happen. Not too long ago I woke up in the morning to 300+ photos to be approved, all from the same photographer, all of the same 4 girls. It took me forever to go through and edit it down to something manageable, but when I was done this person had a very nice looking portfolio here, so it was worth it. I saw 7 pages of photos, you saw 2. That's what the Madams are here for.

I understand about those who haven't updated in a long time and about not wanting to make the process tedious. I've suggested it since I haven't seen many models or photographers uploading ten pages or more at a time. I didn't have anything extremely restrictive in mind. More along the line of preventing ten pages at once. Apologies if this seems out of line.

P.S. Congratulations on the dress!

Nope, I  can't really tell from this photo. I think I'll have to see The Trousseau in it to tell what it really looks like.
