I was wondering is there any in the industry? I am bi racial (afriacan american/peurto rican) Ive searched the web and other sites and have only seen one i was wonder if there are any out there what there names are im hoping there is a market for me because pin up is what i want to do anyone have any info on this it would be greatly appreciated

Pin Up doesn't care about skin color at all. One thing about this scene is that everyone is welcome, and all types are appreciated. I honestly can't think of any big names off the top of my head, but I know we have quite a few girls here on PL who are African American. Take a look through the members and photos, roll the dice a few ties and I'm sure you'll start coming across some. And hey, there is always room at the top for one more, it could be you!

@Jim, some of my inspiration for starting the Project came from reading your blog!  I always wanted to portray women of color in a unique, wholesome and positive way and then I came across your blog and ended up staying up all night to read it.   I'm hosting a collaborative project in Virginia with multiple photographers, MUAs, stylists and models of color (African American, Asian, Latina, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, Native American, etc) to not only educate through modern photography about the influence that women of color had on art and style throughout history but to also allow models to add something unique and quality to their portfolios.  I've always had a passion for history, especially little known history and a love of all things vintage so this Project has been the perfect marriage of my passions.  I have enjoyed reading your blog and look forward to reading more installments.  :)

I felt the same way wondering if there were any Latina ones (I'm PR too!) I know there were many in the 40's and 50's but being on this website has helped a lot. Slowly finding some here and there. Trick with me though is people dont identify being Latina with me bc I happen to be white but what people forget is that Latinos come in all colors and variations. Def look around the site and start friending people etc. :)
