What are your favorite classic movies, or movies that deal with the rockabilly/punk/pin-up/hot rod lifestyle? I have a pretty nice collection, but I'm always looking to add more.

I have so many favorites, but the movie that I recommend to everyone is The Greatest Show on Earth. The 1952 Cecil B. DeMille classic starring Betty Hutton, Cornel Wilde, and Charlton Heston among others. It takes place among a traveling Ringling Bros. - Barnum and Bailey Circus. If you love classic movies, romance, action, and the circus then you'll love this movie. My favorite scene has to be when Dorothy Lamour sings "Lovely Luawana Lady."

Me too! I’ve been obsessed with it since it came out and was 9. I made my poor mom watch it about 100 times and now my poor boyfriend is abused the same way.

Cry-Baby is one of the best movies ever! I also love any Marilyn Monroe movies. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is also a really great movie. I love the court scene near the end.
Ohh Charlton Heston <3

I am a sucker for Elvis movies too, but I think my all-time fave movie is American Graffiti.
Pulp Fiction during the restaurant scene is the best! Sorry, I love cult films... I'm all about Reservoir Dogs and Clockwork Orange but as far as old movies go I LOVE anything with Bettie Grable, Monroe, Joan Crawford, etc etc. Technicolor makes me go all goggly eyed.
oh yeah, also shirley temple movies, she was such a doll face, with her perfect ringlets. she could tap dance with the best of them at such a small age.
Have any of you seen "Hot Rods, Rat Rods, and Kustom Kulture: Back From the Dead"? It's really inspirational and so awesome! Ian Roussel builds a hot rod, and Skratch shows off his skills. The same people also put out "Shake, Rattle, and Roll", which goes into a block party, a Frankenstein art show, and pin up photo shoots.
How To Marry A Millionaire is def one of my fave movies. Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall and Betty Grable. What more can you ask for?
The end is my favorite part. I love that whole diner scene where all the girls faint!
