This was only my second attempt at doing victory rolls. Its kind of hard to decide if I like it or not since my hair is in desperate need of straightening (which I'll be getting done tomorrow, yay!) so I didn't properly part/section off my hair. And I would like for the rolls tobe closer together.

The front section is all mine and the back is my half wig. I redid them using some of the hair from my half wig to make the rolls bigger but I didn't really like how it turned out.

So ladies am I close or am I way off? lol. Any and all suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated! =)

they look great! :-)

Your hair looks adorable!! good job!

I think you did an amazing job! Hard to believe you've only attempted twice! I can't get anywhere close to a V-roll. I still maintain that there must be some secret incantation that needs to be said to get bobby pins to hold... although I could just suck at it. LOL.

Anyhow, Good job! :)

Oh yay! Thanks so much ladies! Im going to try it again after I get my hair done tomorrow and its more manageable lol. I'm going to beatersville this weekend and I figured its the perfect opportunity to finally sport some victory rolls so I'm trying to perfect them. =)
Looking great love!
They Look Great :)

I do rolls all the time (I can knock them out in 10 mins or less now) and my number one piece of advice is Listen to your hair! Your rolls don't have to be right next to each other, or even the same size. And you don't always have to have two, try throwing a third one in. Most people get frustrated and quit because their hair isn't doing what they want, but f you listen to what your hair wants to do, and place it where it seems to want to sit, your rolls will be easier, faster, look better on your head, and not look just like everyone else!

Here are few of us at Beatersville last year. Notice how none of ours look the same:

Catherine is a MUAH artist for Boudoir Louisville, notice how one of hers is little bigger then the other.

And this is last years Miss Beatersville, Kitty Pratt and me. Both rocking rolls but in totally different ways.

Remember; practice makes perfect, listen to your hair, and have fun with it!!

YOU DID A GREAT JOB DOLL!!!  IS IT GRAND TO HAVE SO MANY SUPPORT FROM THESE GALS I LOVE THIS SITE...XOXOXOXOXO TOO ALL MY PL DOLLS OUT THERE!

"only" your second attempt?!

your hair came out gorgeous! (:

You ladies are so awesome!! Yes Im definitely loving this site! =)
That definitely helps. Im normally extremely lazy when it comes to my hair so this whole "styling" thing is completely new to me! lol. Im going to play around with it some more and pay careful attention to what my hair is wanting to do on its own. =p
