I need clothes!

 Ive been modeling for a couple years and dont have much to show..Ive had a lot of offers but ive had to turn them down..Ive tryed to borrow clothes I worked with a clothing designer who made corsets She sent me one and the measurments where wrong.I also took a break trying to come up with money for clothes.That didnt happen..Onley if my 4year olds clothes fit me sense thats where my my cash goes..I need to find someone or something to Help me out here..Im very driven and commited and I need clothes to help me ge started again..I dont know what my point is in posting this Im just looking for help I guess..

Honey I am a mother of 5 children. Trust me I know how hard it is to come up wtih pinup attire on a budget & being a momma. Check out thrift stores, yard sales, estates sales, etc. Sometimes you can find somes steals on ebay but then you have to pay shipping and the fees. So I am debating their worth. There is also a post on here somewhere with some websites that you can get pinup attire.

One of my head that offers layaway and is affordable is www.sydneysvintageclothing.com She is a sweetheart and prices things great. Also check out Etsy. Look up Tiddlywink. She is on PL as well and a absolute doll. I hope this helps you out some hon.

I make post of my period/goth clothes. I'm a big girl and plus vintage is hard to find and often not attractive. 

I've gotten pretty good at it and I can usually futz around and come up with a respectable version of something I see. 

 

I also think that pinup isn't about spending the most money.  A man's dress shirt, a bathrobe, knee socks, a satin sheet, a bath towel, an apron...be creative. Most classic pinup looks can be replicated with things you already have around the house.

^ What Eden said! There's tons of ways to do pinup on a shoestring budget. Perhaps do a shoot in a bathtub where fron the neck down you're covered up with bubbles? Then the only thing you'll have to worry about is having good hair and makeup : D.

 

 Once your name is out there again, I'm sure companies will go out of their way to collaborate with you. Best of luck with everything. You have a good look and I'm sure your new work will be great.

totally agree!  i have a 4 y/o as well.  my money goes on her most of the time.  and i know a lot of sites require constant new submissions.  but don't stress yourself.  i'm in definite need of a new shoot!  but we're great moms and almost anything can be used for a shoot.  implied nudity can work great.  like, Goldmine mentioned bubbles. sit down with some paper and jot down fun ideas and themes.

While I have retro styled clothing, I don't really have hot, sultry, pinup pieces. I'm on the lookout now but what I plan to do is what I do when I shop at thrift stores. What helps me is to write down 3 things I wanna focus on while out at thrift stores - otherwise I get a little overwhelmed! One day it might be a polka top blouse, faux pearl necklace, and a pair of gloves. Another day it might be a simple black pencil skirt, nylons, and a Bakelite jewelry item. You may find all three items, you might find just one! You just gotta get a little creative like Eden said and most importantly, have fun :)

Im in a hurry but I read all the comments so far and I thank all of you. I go to thrift stores all the time but making a list of certain items I need I have not done. Usally its a mile long list I think narrowing it down will help a lot..I will also consider checking the websites you all have listed thank you so much..
