"We Are The New Vintage"
Hello!
I am planning on finally doing a bunch of craft & car shows this year and was wondering what all you seasoned vets would recommend I bring for my booth?
What has worked best for you? Any advice/tips?
How about sources for making my banner & signage?
I am a bit nervous to be honest. Putting myself out there on the internet is one thing but being face to face with people as they see my stuff for the first time is a little nerve-racking for me.
Yikes! :)

I'm not a seasoned vet, but I've been looking into starting to do some fairs in the near future too so I've been nosing around a bit on this subject.
I found a helpful list here http://blog.create-some-buzz.com/2010/05/09/craft-show-checklist-wh...
I noticed you have an etsy store too, do you ever search the forums? I've found some helpful tips and links in there as well. And I believe there is a flickr group dedicated to booth displays.
Hope that helps a little!
I actually like getting the face time in with customers, gives you a good idea what they like, what they're like, and whose buying your product!
I actually have an image from my first craft show which was a couple years ago before I got busy with school and "professional" life.
It doesn't show the sign, and dear god how far I've come! But I found it's best to keep it simple. Make sure you know if you need to bring a table or not, how you're going to display your wares, some sort of covering so it's not just a table, promotional materials, how you're going to store your money, change, etc. In terms of signs I just went simple and have always made mine! Just something simple and eye catching works.
Make sure to highlight your best sellers, bring plenty of snacks and water, and have fun! Smile! Talk to people. It can be a great experience in terms of networking.
