Would love some suggestions for upbeat music to play at my pin up event. Its a 1940's theme but I am sure the 50's will be arriving too. Anything old and new welcome!!

The Rat Pack, Andrew Sisters, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosmary Clooney, history of swing

Irving Berlin, Spike Jones, "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree"

Sounds fun!

I would also look into Max Raab and Ute Lemper-- modern artists who do a great job of keeping old traditions alive.  Bette Midler did quite a few WWII songs, as well.

Louis Prima, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Rosemary Clooney, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, King Cole Trio...

If you want some modern music with that 40's feel, mudt not forget Royal Crown Revue, the Kings of Gangster-Bop!

Also Big Six is one of my favs!

Can't wait to download some of Royal Crown Revue, Big Six, and the Kings of Gangster to hear what they sound like! Thanks for the suggestions!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
