New Wonder Woman costume

NBC has given the green light on the new Wonder Woman pilot and the costume has been released, so, what does everyone think?I think it's sexy, high fantasy, and totally unrealistic. I love it.

To be honest I think its looks cheap, tacky and not well made.

cheap halloween costume was my first thought when i saw it. she looks like she should be dancing in that, not helping people

Reading all of your responses kind of blows my mind. I think it's awesome! The use of vinyl/latex gives it that costume-y sense of "clothes normal people don't wear", I don't get "cheap" or "poorly made" at all. In fact, the quality of color for the whole outfit and the lines of her top are pretty damn perfect. There are a couple ripply bits on her hips from the strange family-tv-approved-anti-cameltoe she's got going on but that's the fault of the censors.

 

As far as the original goes? Sure I think she looked great..... 30 years ago. Times change. I'm just glad the new girl isn't wearing giant blue diapers.

Yeah, I can already see the mass produced leg avenue lingerie from this costume. My friend said it best, "It looks like they made it out of shower curtains and the remains of an inflatable bottlenose dolphin pool float." LOL.

Seems a bit of a marmite costume from the responses.
I personally love it. Of course it looks like a costume, because thats what it is. Its meant to look sexy and totally unrealistic. If it didnt then that sort of defeats the object.
At the time the original would have looked the same to people.
May not be the best fabric choice for saving the world and all that, then again who cares :D

When I saw it a couple days ago, I thought a latex designer made it and borrowed it out to a fetish model.

This doesn't look like it would be wearable for the series.If this is what she's wearing, I feel for her!

I love Linda Carter, and I love the original costume, but that's in the past, and as much as we might want it, we're not getting that costume back. I want my super heroes to look like they have costumes on, real costumes that normal people can't wear to fight crime in, that's just one of the things that makes them super!! I want to believe that she can kick ass without her top falling down, getting a camel toe, or ripping her latex! What I don't really like, is this:It's from the new Wonder Woman comic, she's a teen, her pants are jeans, leather jacket. It looks like something anyone could fight in or wear. I want my Wonder Woman to be... well.... Wonderful.
