"We Are The New Vintage"
I'm a big gal and a pinup fan. There's alot of slim girls and a lot of "curvy" girls in the scene. But I sure wish there were more plus sized/full figured girls doing it, because I love seeing pinups with my build. Plus, full figured gals look great in corsets, etc.
Now, I've found a few BBW's on this very site, but are there more plus sized pinups out there? Is this a bigger deal than I know about?

It´s also hard to find the right clothes in the Big size's if I speak for my wife.
She would love to wear Thes clothes but here size isn't there, it stops at the biggest at xxxl but that's not wide enough mostley in the hip size. :-(
By the way I'm from Holland.

Clothing companies will do what any other business does and follow the money. If it were cost-productive for them to make their designs in a certain size, they would. Part of following a successful business model is the branding that the company creates. That branding is their bread and butter-- to go outside of what the public expects from that branding can mean a severe blow to how the public sees it.
Making clothes in a size that is outside of the norm costs the company more than making clothes within the standard sizes. It isn't that they are over charging you, it is that it cost them more to make the clothes, so they charge more.
The best, and most cost productive way, to get a wardrobe that you like is to remember two things; less is more, and fit is everything. I used to have tons of clothes-- I love clothes. But honestly, I kept going back to the basics that I love. Those things that fit well and are timeless-- so I dumped everything when I moved. Now the things I have are all very wearable because they fit and because they are made well. Disposable clothing manufacturers help make us think we need lots and lots of clothes, and an ever-changing wardrobe. H&M and Forever 21, along with Target and Walmart fill our closets with junk that, at least for me, is less than satisfying to wear. I realized it was far better to have a few things that made me feel wonderful than a bunch of stuff that was simply new.
Once you get rid of the idea that you need lots of clothes, you can focus on them as an investment. That makes having them tailored or made for you seem far less of a luxury. I know I feel better about myself when I have clothes that fit made of fabric that feels sensuous to my skin.
So for those women who don't find what you want off the rack, think of exactly what you do want, and then find a way to have it made for you. Find a pattern and approach one of the dressmakers on Etsy. Or even approach one of the companies in China or India who are making nice clothes to sell on Ebay. Heck, have two of them made and sell one and see if you can turn your need for a certain size into a business. My thinking is, if you need it, others do too, and where this is a need, there is a business to open.
Well if one of you knows where to find the bigger size's give us a shout. :-)
But large patrons are welcome to ofcourse.
And we keep following this subject!
I think that the pinup world is very accomidating to plus sized models. I personally know alot of bigger girls who model and aren't treated any different than the smaller girls. But maybe thats just my experience...
If you want a super sexy full figure woman, look up La Cholita, she is a model and burlesque performer
Im with you on this one doll, I think a real woman has curves baby!! Ultimatly, a true pinUp is thick and curvatious, check out Betty Page, and Marilyn Monroe, thisck sexy woman...
...confidence is what makes a woman SEXY!!
