Moving to the modeling forum.
I have the #1 makeup magic trick ever... so treat it well. ;) I fool people with it all the time! Nobody can ever tell I have advanced cancer because if it! lol Japanese Rice Powder! The brand I use (which I got at a Sally Beauty Supply) is called PALLADIO. They also make INCREDIBLE oil blotting sheets which can REALLY come in handy since they not only blot up the oil but also lay down a lil layer of rice power too! I DO also like mineral makeup BUT you can't go cheap with it. If you spend the money and get a really good brand they can be worth it... they're under eye cream type makeup is good but NOTHING can beat Palladio Rice Power in the powder department! ...IMHO ;)
I almost forgot a very important trick... APPLICATION! DO NOT use the "puff" that comes with the powder! :) One of the best investments you can make in this industry is a nice set of makeup brushes! :) Instead of using their "powder puff" to apply the powder (or pretty much any powder for that matter:) use a big, fluffy brush like you might use for a blush brush... big and fluffy NOT small or tight and kinda coarse.  You wanna put your makeup on in layers with a cloud, not a dish-washing sponge... no? ;)

I

have a blog that does articles weekly about this very subject its called in the bag!! here is the link I hope you find it helpful you can also post questions there!!

In The Bag!! @ SkullsnKisses!!

Things that I always bring on a shoot:

Hollywood tape, scissors, nail polish, tissues, water and sunscreen.

Apart from that, the rest is obvious, clothes, heels, makeup (especially powder) for touchups.

And relax. Photos always turn out better when your're relaxed and comfortable.

Also with pinup facial expressions A-E-I-O-U. Say those letters (one letter per photo of course) and they always give you a more natural facial expression.

As long as you don't have a dodgy photographer, you should be fine :)

Have fun.

By pro photo shoot, do you mean you're being paid for the assignment or are you paying a pro to take your pictures?

This is what I request from my models.

Clean face and clean hair.  Otherwise hair and makeup will have to spend time undoing your face and hair.

No nail polish.  Makeup will put on any colors if needed for the shoot.

Drink plenty of water before the shoot.  This will improve your skin tone.

Don't show up with an entourage, especially your friend who's curious about modeling or worse your boyfriend or mother.  This is work. Treat it like work.

Don't show up high, drunk or hungover!

Most professional models will have the following items with them.

Foundation in their color.  With all the various skin tones, sometimes it's hard for makeup to match.

A Shoe Bag.  Bring a pair of pumps, a pair of flats, a pair of boots and a pair of sandals.  In both black and light colors.  Even if I pull shoes in your size, they may not fit.  With this collection, any look can be accommodated.

Double sided fashion skin tape,  sometimes known as Hollywood Tape.
