The guy that writes for the site is supposedly a husband of a Hello Kitty FANACTIC. The background is that she sells and fills their home with all the HK items possible. While I have no idea whether this is valid, the writing is funny, sadly pessimistic and the HK items that he posts are ridiculous (and real). 

 

You want to see what real obsessed people are like... just read the blog. And you might want to get a cushion for your jaw when it hits the floor. There's a lot of stupid/useless/overlypink/cute stuff there.

 

This site has certainly opened my eyes to the fact that this franchise will not be dying out anytime soon.

 

P.S. If you're looking to buy any of it or find out where it came from, don't bother asking the author. He is VEHEMENTLY against sharing that info as well as the Evil Corporate Feline Franchise (stated in the blog FAQ).
