"We Are The New Vintage"
I am interested in finding out if there are any "plus size" (oh god how I hate that term - sorry!) pin-up models here and how they got started in pin-up modelling.

Plumper the berry...one of the best quotes ever...and so very very true.
Personally, I consider any size that they sell in "specialty plus size" stores to be "plus size". Which would be a size 14 and up.
I like the term "Curvy" or "Bodacious", and "Bootylicious" just takes it a bit too far IMO. XD
We're just getting our site and everything going, myself and 3 other buxom ladies. Very excited about it as well.

Amen brother!
As for "labeling" us bigger girls, I prefer the term "plumpie pinup." The plumper the berry, the sweeter the juice! ha! Another good word is bodacious! BODacious magazine is actually petitioning to have an extra meaning added to the word "bodacious" in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. To mean an attractive bigger man or woman. If you feel so inclined, you can sign the petition at www.whatsyournumber.org
I suggested to the editor that they do a pinup issue - just imagine, a whole magazine full of plumpie pinups!

I hate the term "plus size" too! Although that is what I am considered. I wouldn't say that I am a model, but I just started doing shoots as often as I can to build my portfolio. Hopefully I will "make it" one day, but if anything, the pictures make me feel good about my curvy figure and the compliments definitely help your confidence. So start shooting and network via the internet as much as you can.
And I love everyone's terms to replace "plus size". Why don't we start calling the non-plus size sections "the scrony section, no butt section, or the itty bitty titty section"...see how they like it. hahaha
What a great question! We should find a better word for us curvy ladies! I for one would like to walk into a department store and saunter over to the.... Big ol' Titties and Luscious Butt section. I'm no model, but right now I think is a great time to start. People 's eyes are opening up to the idea of curvier women, and it appears even the popular fashion magazines are featuring curvier women. People like what's different and new, and this has been a trend before and it's becoming a trend again. Take advantage!
I personally take pride in the term 'plus size pin up'
I feel that certain words (fat, plus size, curvy, zaftig etc) are only negative when you allow them to be..I don't need anyone to sugar coat them because it's nothing to be ashamed of...
I love my fat, plump, zaftig, plus size self...:)
