Watch this!  This guy was kicked out of a water park because his tattoos were considered "offensive".  Well I am pretty sure when I am at the water park there are some offensivly dress people that don't get kicked out either.  I thought we had come a long way and alternative styles were becoming more accepted, but I guess I was wrong.

What B.S.!!!  His money was good enough though, wasn't it?!

you've got to be kidding me. $1000?!?! Tattooed people "the disgrace of society" can get out but can be sure to leave their money. If that place was really as family oriented as they say they are then they should leave it up to the parents of the children asking questions about tattoos to discuss it with their kids and teach them tolerance.

Oh my god! what ignorant people! First off 99.9% of the people there would have seen a tattooed guy and not looked close enough. Secondly, Isn't it the parents responsibility of any child who asks to tell them the truth. so even if a child happened to notice that one tattoo, it wouldn't be offensive.

It's fine to buy your precious darling Bratz dolls ect that do promote sexuality, but a man with tattoos? Of course thats soooooo offensive. Talk about a tolerant society. So now cause one person MAY find our tattoos offensive we shouldn't get them? BS!

Quite frankly they should throw out people who wear crocs too tight swimwear and a few other things. Well they offend me, and if it offends anyone then I guess you gotta kick them out.

He deserves his money back! and some!

The poor lad too. Having to explain to your son on his 5th birthday that we got kicked out cause daddy has a tattoo, and the little lad thinking its his fault. That is so sad! and wrong!

Makes you wanna get together a massive group of tattooed up guys and girls for a trip there.

i recognize those guys, they own a bakeshop and they compete pretty regularly on food network challenge.

that's terrible though. we are almost in the year 2011 and this is STILL a PROBLEM!? it irritates me beyond all belief. i'm sure people have seen WAY more offensive things on t.v. or on advertisements listed throughout their town. who cares? get over it and shut up and let people live their life. this is definitely discrimination. just because someone doesn't fit into your cookie cutter appearance qualifications doesn't give you the right to harass them and make them feel unwelcome .  take sophie lancaster for instance, she was bashed to death because she looked a little different. when are people going to finally open  their minds and hearts and accept everyone for who they are, no matter how they look.  ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Sophie_Lancaster )

I know, I am just shocked that the same country that has a black president would do this.  I guess it just shows again how screwed up american values are.  People who work their a**** off can't get ahead but someone falls and sues wal-mart will have more money and be more secure than I ever will.  Awesome.

I'm sorry....but when I see a woman, or man, whose breasts are hanging out, I get pretty uncomfortable...the unfortunate aspect is it's more appropriate to be half naked, regardless of whether you have the appropriate size for it or not, than to be covered in tattoos. I'd rather see somebody covered with tattoos then somebody not covered at all!

So, you are saying that this guy's desire to go shirtless supercedes a private company's right to develop and maintain legal policies on their grounds that they own?

Well, he wouldn't show the reporter his tattoo that caused the problem.. so I am inclined to believe that it was offensive.  If he had nothing to hide, he would show it.  Unless the News channel decided not to show it and claim he wouldn't show it, to cause some controversy.  Anyway, he could have just covered up.  But he decided to be a jackhole instead of sucking it up for his son.

IF there was truly nothing offensive about the tattoo, then I don't agree with what the park did.  The park has the right to have a rule that bans offensive pictures and words, but not tattoos as a whole.  If people are acting in a family friendly manner then there should be no problems.

The President's race has nothing to do with the issue at hand nor the fact that another "color" is currently running our country.  I don't care what color you are.  Values are screwed because most people in this day are screwed.

It was a private buisness and they have the right to ask people to leave for whatever reason. That being said they asked the man to cover up or leave. He chose the latter and then decided to make a huge deal out of it by calling the news. This seems rather immature on his part if you ask me. The money spent should have been refunded by the company on his choice to leave and for that they are in the wrong. But on the whole a man who put his own pride over his child's happiness is not my idea of an ideal parent or an ideal man.

Wow, it takes all kinds, doesn't!!

I completely agree with you, Penny.

My man gets asked to conceal his tattoos every time we visit our local water park as well. He has two that are considered as "offensive", which is ridiculous. He's able to hide them with a shirt, so he complies to keep people quiet. It's whatever.
