My first strip club.

I went to a strip club for the first time yesterday. Pole dancing is an art, but this was just pathetic. The girls were doing there thing, but there was nothing to it, in fact it was boring. No pole work at all really. The best girl there actually made an effort to get on the pole. The funny thing was I went to high school with her, I thought she was the best one there and she was flat as a bored and tall as the pole its self. The other girls didn't put much into the routines but had fake tatas.

I love burlesque because its the classiest from of strip tease you can do, it empowering.
I love pole dancing because there is an art to it and when done right its amazing to watch. I feel it's just as empowering when you can almost hypnotize some one with movement.
But this strip club, I'm sure others are like it, was just about the girls dancing naked.

I would love to have my own strip club in a few years, but the girls will have to have real talent.

That sucks. I've never been to a strip club but I've seen burlesque and it's just beeeeeautiful!

Yes, there is most certainly a difference between a girl who just takes it of and walks around and a girl who does some real dancing with grace and theatrics... Sad that so few of us get that...

I went to a strip club in NC and it was called "Fuzzy Holes." Based purely off the name I knew I was in for a few good laughs. Surprisingly enough it was pretty damn good! I went with my BF's band so, since I was the only girl in the entire room you can understand why I got singled out. The stripper pulled me on stage and laid me down while she danced on me. I was laughing so freaking hard and I glanced over at the guys in the band and their eyes could have popped out of their heads. Then, I go to a strip club in my town and it's just not the same...it's just like you said...girls walking around the pole. No tricks, Nada. Yawn. Now that I know what COULD happen I have high expectations. Seriously, it would be awesome to have an upscale strip club open up and become available in every city.

BTW I think Fuzzy Holes is closed for business...it was in a pretty low key city so I'm sure it didn't get the appreciation it deserved! This one goes out to Fuzzy Holes...wooot woot!

I've been to a strip club a few times. I had a good time. There were some girls that weren't so great but there were girls that had crazy pole skills too. My friends and I were the only girls there, which was great because the girls gave us more attention.

I used to be a striper and the club I worked at was a lot like the one you went to, but I made sure every time I went out there it was a performance. I brought burlesque to the club with me and it made it much better. It was different from the other girls, and some guys just didn't get it, but most really liked it. I've been to bad clubs and great ones (I love going even though I don't do it any more), and it's really hit or miss. But if you happen to be in San Francisco, check out Mitchell Bros on O'Farrel. Great shows and really nice girls. It's a good club to go to for a night on the town.

Thats so rad you brought burlesque to your club. Thats shows it will one day rule again over the fake tittied bleach blonde. There will still be fake boobed blonde but they will have class. lol

I think the difference is money. Girls dancing for money are there just for the money and lack passion for the most part. I can say this because I was a former stripper. :) Girls who perform are not there for the money, they are there for the art, the beauty and the empowerment. Big difference!

I have never been to one. But I would like to go see what it is all about. I knew a girl tho that did pole dancing and the things she could do was WOW. I would love to be able to do some of those things.

I noticed that there hasn't been any discussion on this topic for a while...but I'm a NEWBIE and saw it and had to post!

If anyone is in the D/FW area, I teach pole dancing! I have a portable stage and can do girly parties! If interested just email me, I am even willing to barter lessons for whatever!

I've noticed that too! Whenever I go to a strip club, the ladies dancing always seem to give me more attention than any of the guys that are actually throwing money at them! I think it's because they get tired of looking at those yucky boys all day that they get so excited to see a Lady in the audience.

From talking to the girls [yeah I've had full out conversations with them] they prefer girls because some guys tend to get... touchy. And some are rude too.
