Pinup styles for curly hair?

I am looking for pinup/rockabilly hair styles for my long curly hair that don't require me to blow it out straight.
Any suggestions?

What kind of vintage do are you able to do with your hair? Do you have pictures?

I just work it! After washing my hair, I individually finger curl a strand at a time to form perfect curls, then I diffuse them, style my hair(vintage do), and go over them with a curling iron where needed. Sponge rollers are great if you want "porcelain doll" hair. This works for me. Girls think they're extensions. Just so you know I have long and thick curly(spiral) hair. Hope this helps.

I too have naturally curly hair. The first thing I would advise anyone looking for a vintage style for daily use would be to get a vintage cut. You can fake it with a modern cut, but that will only go so far. I have a middy cut that I can arrange in a wide variety of styles. Because I live the vintage vida loca every day, I took the plunge and got my hair cut appropriately.
Go nose around the Pinup Dollhouse. The residents are super helpful!

Vintage hairstyling relied heavily on setting and pin curling. Your hair is the perfect texture for that. You don't have to blow it straight, just tame your curls. Have you tried washing your hair at night and sleeping in a set or pin curls?
A side part and a combed out set is classic 1940's. Think Veronica Lake, Rita Hayworth, and of course Marilyn Monroe.
