I'm sorry.... who's "she"? LOL XD

I wasn't trying to reference other bugs mentioned in the thread... If I did, it was unknowingly. I know what rollie pollies are, they aren't so bad. But these horrific things that I linked to, I've always known to be Potato Bugs *shrug* Maybe it's a Cali thing, I live in the Bay Area

Oh...I don't think that you're talking about the same "potato bug"....I believe she was referring to "Pill Bugs". They look like tiny armadillos! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pill_bug I know in California we called them potato bugs or "rollie pollies"

I truly detest bugs! And it usually has nothing to do with whether or not they are a threat to me, I just don't like them! If I'm out hiking, I just ignore them or run the other way, but I must confess that when they are in my house, I usually call on the trusty ole boyfriend to come and kill them! If he's not around, I either try to shoo them outside, or quarantine the area until he gets home XD

I live on the ground level with no buffer (not a single stair or step, just open the door and you're on the sidewalk), so we get our fair share. Mostly spiders (daddy longlegs creep me out the most!), ants in the rainy season (SO annoying!). I have even seen a silverfish or two, EW! The latest development has been especially horrific: POTATO BUGS! They have got to me one of the most vile creatures to walk the earth, and they are NOT small! My boyfriend found one in the house a few weeks ago, then a few days later the dog found one and was playing with it x_x Then I found a dead one while sweeping a few days ago! UGH I just hate these things. The only thing I hate worse are crane flies (aka Mosquito Eaters, even though they DO NOT eat mosquitos)! I'm actually petrified of those, they're like daddy long legs with WINGS and erratic, frightening flight behavior!

Mrs. Filmmonkey hates all types of bugs to the point of freaking out.
She can hold a human skull and have dried bits of brain fall out and it doesn't even phase her, but the littlest bug and she goes running.
And yes the skull thing is her job, not a Dexter-ish pasttime...
That's who I was referencing.

YES! Except for ladybugs. Cos they're cute...oh, and potato bugs cos they tickle you when you hold them. Ummm...other than that, yeah, bugs are gross! But I won't kill a bug unless it's in my house. If it's outside, I let it be; it's in its own habitat, after all. Actually, I don't kill spiders; I scoop them up on a piece of paper and set them outside.

not a fan, i mostly detest fleas and mosquitos and cockroaches. the ones that spread diseases and anoy us and our pets. but im not fond of many types of bugs
I hate flour bugs, although I don't know the proper name for them. I bought canisters not knowing they didn't have an air-tight seal until after I bought them and unwrapped them from the plastic they were sold in. No matter what I do, I get these little effers invading muh flour.

I hate ALL OF THEM. I have a seriously irrational fear of bugs in general. ugh.
I will let anything do it's thing but roaches. The are gross and should all die a horrible death. The End!
Honey B Hooligan: Yes, most definitely not talking about the same potato bug! I know I'm not alone in calling the big shiny nasty things I was talking about "potato bugs" because they pop up all over when I google search the term!

Tess LeTaunt: UGH! So annoying! That happens to me too. Those little buggers' eggs are actually in practically everything, but it takes a while for them to gestate and become bugs. That's why sometimes your flour will appear safe, then suddenly later on you see the bugs on the shelf a little h*** in your flour bag where they ate their way out! The best way to combat them is to keep potentially bug-filled stuff in the freezer. I often keep my flour and sometimes cereal in the freezer to avoid the invasion!

LOVE THIS!! look at what my buddy does in his spare time ...

I like bugs. I like to put them in my freezer, then after they die; slather them in lacquer, chop off their legs and turn them into hair accessories.

Oh, goodness! I'm so happy you didn't mean Volkswagens - since I own one! ; )
I have an intense fear of cockroaches
other bugs I simply disrespect for their persistent stupidity and lack of respect for private property.
But that goes for some humans, too.
The absolute yuckiest things ever are house centipedes. I scream bloody murder if I ever see one in the house. Those and june bugs. If one flies at me I start crying. lol I loathe bugs. Except boxelder bugs. I really like those for some reason.

OMG! That is truly horrific!! Agh, I might have nightmares about this one T_T
