Worthwhile charities - who do you support?

IFAW is one of the animal welfare charities I support. They do really fantastic things for animals all over the world, so I thought I'd spread the word for them.

'The International Fund for Animal Welfare works to improve animal welfare, prevent animal cruelty and abuse, protect wildlife and provide animal rescue around the world. From stopping the elephant ivory trade, to ending the Canadian seal hunt and saving the whales from extinction, IFAW works to create solutions that benefit both animals and people.'

'Help for Heroes' is my charity of choice; "Remember the fallen: care for the living"

"It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."

There is a big charity campaign at work so I went with Monkeyhelpers.org (train monkeys to help severly disabled people), Fisher House (Provides care and comfort for families of wounded warriors while they receive treatment), Snowball Express (A camp type program for children who have lost a parent in the armed services), and the Marijuana Policy Project (Cause that s*** has got to be legalized one of these days).
