Stripping on PL?

I was dismayed to see the ad for exotic dancers on the Casting Call page as that is the opposite of what I thought PL was all about. I don't judge how anybody makes a living just thought this forum was about something else.

Am I alone here?

Hmmm...I guess I considered Burlesque to fit into part of what they are looking for and why they are here. It keeps the striptease emphasis put on the TEASE and leaves more to the imagination than some but not all pole dancers. I took a look at their profile and it seems they maybe are here with a focus on finding entertainers who have an actual choreographed performance as opposed to those who sway to music nekkid?

The Madams are looking into it! But please keep in mind that some of the ladies on here ARE by definition "exotic dancers" (Burlesque performers). We're delving deeper into this issue, but remember that PL is a place that embraces all fans of the lifestyle!

Hi Slim,

Better to think on the flipside, let someone know when you see something you feel may not be in line before questioning the focus of a community. Only feel dismayed when you are either told we won't do anything about it, or that you're in the wrong place.

In this case neither, it's the equivalent of someone saying a curse word on live television and us missing the "DELAY" button before it aired.

As Honey said many of the models here ARE exotic dancers by trade and or hobby, so nothing at all against them, however the Casting Calls is not for general models but more specifically for those of the pinup genres. The post has been removed and the poster has been warned. They can and should enjoy their membership here however cannot post commercial casting calls related to general stripping.

I consider burlesque an art form, one too often lost, and am pleased as punch to have my pix next to the ladies who practice that craft. I'd say the modern defination of exotic dancer is a whole other thing. Semantics aside though, PL's acceptance is one of the things I like best about it-I wouldn't have written the post if I didn't care about what's best for the community.
