Race Cars and racing! Lets hear and see some stories from the race track

Ok Edison, Im calling you out, I want to hear some stories from the track. I'll post just a few photos for the time being. Yes this girl is the driver of a 1/4 mile drag strip JET car. She always kicked ass over the male jet car drivers.

this Ford GT was making some serious speed as rounded the corners at a private track just outside Joliet.

Smoke em' if you got em.

perhaps my most favorite style of racing is land speed racing. There is just something about Bonneville that excites my senses.

Edson not Edison

I'll have to dig up some old school photos. In short I started with online communities by building The Crossroad Network. It was a network of automotive sites (CrossroadOnline CrossroadRacing CrossroadForums & CapitalCrossroad) all based around the automotive industry. It was a place where there were no walls between imports & domestics. We used to host track days and as expected had some incredible experiences in amazing cars!

Of all the motorsports most definitely AutoX was my favorite, followed by ummm illegal road rallies These were a good fit because as expected my personal cars were more show than go! Great handling falls nicely under show for a great stance, this should be visible in both my previous cars S1L1C0N & PYRITE.

Alrighty boys, something i can talk about! I shoot mainly drag racing!

Some of my favorite cars from the area we shoot often

Yesterday I was at a track, standing at the end of the pit wall, talking to the flagman (I was working timing/scoring) when an 1100hp Trans Am overcooked the last turn, did a couple of overcorrections and nearly backed it into the pitwall, then backed it across the stripe in front of us..

that was fun.

oh, and I hope to build a Studebaker, like that orange one on the salt in your first post..
Waiting for your next reply to say....

"And I took photos the entire time!"

A lot of women look seductive from a semi-drivers view strapped into their car wearing a skirt, or even less. Sometimes it's really hard for a truck driver to keep his rig straight with distractions like that, but it keeps you in the mood for driving deep into the night.

Some More For you

I am pretty sure they were not ready for this kind of backfire...

Little evil... need i say more?

Epic fourth gen! You dont see too many of these on two wheels! Especially this high!

Well it isn't exactly wheelie-poppin' drag racing, but I have been into Auto-X, drifting and a bit of rallying since I was a kid. I build and restore American Muscle cars with my Father [Corvettes, El Caminos, Challenger/Charger/RoadRunner/Satellites] but my newest side project is modifying my Subaru WRX STI for the track. Not exactly the ideal 'pinup' style...but I am not going to argue with over 400 all wheel horsepower...

I have taken this car out on Laguna Seca for track days, but I have also participated in local auto-x and in some road rallying where we terrorize the folks living on the curvy back roads. It has been in a few magazines and online features but I can't find the photos...argh!!!
