Well All Hallow's Eve is quickly on the approach and I am excited. This is the one night a year we can be anyone we want and wear whatever we want out in public. I love this holiday ! Well I am a San Francisco girlie and we do take this holiday seriously here, at least we used to back in the good old ( pre-gangsta) days of the Castro Party. What a time, what a place and what fun people. The last time we went ( 2006) someone got shot at the exact place we had been 10 minutes prior and that year was the last year for Castro at Halloween.

So favorite costume? Favorite costumes to date have been "Sherlock Holmes"( Audrey style) A Deer Stalker, a perfect plaid coat and underneath a tightly laced corset, fishnets and boots. That worked well last year for sure ! Another year my husband did it up as Indiana Jones, he does the perfect Indiana Jones and I went as Russian Uber villain Irina Spalko. I do have the same hair and stature and I spiced it up again with a corset ! Hope to figure out how to upload a few photos ( I am a computer noob)

So ladies do share = ) Oh and what is happening for fun this year? Any pinup themed events in the Bay Area?

I'm also looking for something to do in the bay for Halloween, or I might go to Disneyland....lol.

Favorite costume.... I was Rainbow Brite a few years ago, but it was before i had a digital camera, so I don't have pix to show.

Last year I was Ariel (with legs) and although it wasn't one of my favorite costumes, I did make it myself, and I love that the step sisters were making fish faces at me!

The year before I was Marie Antoinette, cute but kind of boring....

I found this last night while checking the links on one of my favorite stores. It's L.A. area here in California, but I would die too be fully dressed for this event so I could attend!

I am a total Harry Potter dork and I found a female Hogwarts School costume at the Spirit store! I was so excited but my boyfriend insists on matching so we are going as Lydia and Beatlejuice this year...but I am pretty damn excited about these costumes too!!!!

We are thinking of doing the John Steed and Emma Peel thing from the Avengers but if we cant get all the stuff we will recycle the Indiana Jones and Irina Spalko look ! Matching can be fun !

I don't have a full-body of myself, but this is what it looks like:

I wore white lacy ankle socks and black mary janes.
In years past, I've been a devil

and Goldilocks (don't have pix), but my favorite so far was my Velma costume.

I bought separate pieces on ebay and made my own costume! You can't see it, but I'm wearing a Scooby Doo backpack!

my favorite costume was last year I channeled Hitchcock's The Birds.
Last year I did a slutty Marie Antionette. It was a pretty good knockoff of the uber-expensive one seen on trashy.com.

This year, I'm thinking of doing Alice's "Um" dress from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland if expenses allow it. Or I may do that gorgeous red dress Anna wears for the ballroom scene in Van Helsing. I have to talk to my roommate/seamstress about time constraints! Lol.
I love halloween i guess because it is a chance to dress up. Always try to make my own costumes. I have never been the same thing twice. Some favorites were witch, wonderwoman, red devil, vampire, clown, pebbles from the flintstones, glenda the good witch, dorothy with toto in a basket, nurse (like the Eisenstadt photo). While it's popular to have the HOTTT version I tend to stay away from that and go more for imitating the real thing closely. I have always wanted to do a rapunzel and lil bo peep and medusa - good looking rubber snakes are expensive these days. i think having a theme for couples or a group is always a big hit and we had 2 guys at work that would always come up with something current event headline that stole the show.
I totally forgot... my favorite Halloween event ever is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney World. Awesome parade, trick r treating, and ALL the villains are out!! It's fabulous!!!

Hi! I'm new to PL. Figured I'd just jump in.

My favorite Halloween costume to date is the year I was the Mad Hatter. I don't have pictures right now but I can post them later. I wore black skinny jeans, a teal corduroy jacket (inspiration for the costume), and a top hat. The look was really all in the make up and accessories.

I attached a head shot to give you an idea.

Need to figure out how to top this one

I love everyones pictures by the way. I can't wait for Halloween!
Not many people could peg who I was for Halloween in 2008. I'm American McGee's Alice (PC game character...yes...I'm a geek lol)

here's the game:

And my husband's costume (47 from Hitman):

My costume was completely made by hand (I used a prop skull modified for the bow in the back) I even made the necklace and screen printed the symbols on the Pinafore. I Carried around a very realistic looking prop knife all night as well! lol

Here's one of my husband and I together, yes, he did have a coat and a barcode on the back of his head:

I absolutely adore your costume. I loooooooooooove that game!!
