Photo shoot must haves

Models, photogs, designers and MUAH. What would you say are the 5 most important things to have at a photo shoot?

Please specify what field you are answering for. And please feel free to answer what you feel are the most important things for the model to bring to a shoot, no matter what your field.

PHOTOGS:

1. Camera
2. Charged batteries
3. Memory Cards
4. Speedlites
5. Cigarettes

I do a lot of on location, outdoor shoots and so here are my 5 must haves
1. SUNBLOCK! i love my skin and my tattoos, and nothing is more annoying than a totally weird farmer's tan.
2. Water. Its all part of keeping healthy. Hydration is the key to pretty skin, digestive system, and general good health.
3. my red kimono. I know i look like a diva, showing up in a kimono, but it helps me to "feel" like a model and it stops a lot of goose-necking during an open shoot.
4. flats, flops or crocks. I love to wear super high and pretty shoes for shoots, so to keep them from scuffing and to save me from foot pain, I love to pack a pair of comfy shoes to wear during breaks and for walking beween locations.
5. a positive and professional attitude. Many times an open shoot means that the public is watching. What kind of pinup would i be if I was rude and acting immature for all the world to see? Posture is not just the way you walk and carry yourself, for me it includes a certain attitude that supports my little boom-swagger walk! LOL

personality is everything! I have worked with beautiful girls with ugly personalities; eew. When you are happy it shows thru to the pictures. Plus everyone is more at easy with an easy going model. My favorite photographer can tell me anything, and I like that. I dont have a perfect body, and sometimes my outfits are off. I love that we can speak freely. Our communication keeps the shoots fun, and I always learn something new.

I usually just haul an endless supply of wardrobe and accessory options, tons of undergarment options (cuz you never know), oodles of shoes, and everything I may need to freshen up hair and makeup. Nothing crazy.
That, of course, is whenever it's a photoshoot that I've organized myself rather than doing for a clothing company, and am the only one being photographed. They're typically quick and only last a couple of hours.
Whenever it comes to shoots where everything is provided for me, however, and there are multiple models being shot that day, the only thing I take is food and bottled water. All-day-shoots get me every time. Hair and makeup usually take foreverrr.

Yes! It took an overnight trip with my mom to figure what the heck I'd like to wear for this weekend's shoot! I feel ready! I've got some sexy pieces that I think will really come together. So tonight I'm going to put my things into my dress bag and my major makeup essentials into my train case. Keep practicing my faces, go for a mani-pedi in the morning, and remember to have fun!

Neither a photog or a model here but I own the clothes the girls wear, so I am part stylist, part wardrobe and the end client. I organize the models and the clothing. Looking back at the last shoot, with four models, each with two to four changes of clothes, I now have a few preferences for what I want to see from models.

Even if there is a hair and make-up person scheduled, it is helpful to bring your own make up and the skill to create a few styles. Same with hair.

It is near impossible for me to find the perfect shoe for each model, so a shoe bag with basic pumps (nothing over the top, if you are modeling someone else's clothes). White or beige, black and brown should be good. If there are multiple models, a robe to wear in between changes is nice.

Last, but most important, don't hold everyone up by needing the photographer to tell you all your poses. Go to a shoot ready with several poses memorized, ten or so, and several "faces." Practice your craft or hobby in the mirror so you help move things along and so you know you will have some great shots.

I had so much fun this afternoon! I brought every thing I thought I could need and it looked like I was going on vacation! So having accomplished my second shoot, here's what I brought...
-Bobby Pins
-My own foundation and a few choice eye shadow colors
-Two shades of my most worn lipstick
-Hair Brush
-Body Butter (for ashy skin)
-Red Nailpolish (just in case)
-Deodorant
-Several clothing pieces to make up a few different outfits.
-Extra undies
-Hair bobbles, flowers, etc.
