What Makes You Feel DIVINE??

They say you are what you eat and I wont argue that but I will also say that we are all what we wear. What we wear is a uniform of our ideology and our advertisement to society of where we stand and what we embrace. What we wear how we do our hair, the car we drive makes us all feel special and more at ease with ourselves it allows us to embrace that aesthetically and to share it with the world in essence it makes us a living and breathing work of art.

So ladies what makes you feel absolutely delicious and divine? What makes you feel like a million bucks ( 1937 Silver dollars non adjusted for inflation) ?

For me it all about the right shoes, the right lingerie, perfect fitting seamed stockings, a fantastically fitting, tightly laced corset and of course the right hat and glasses. Pencil skirts= YUMMY. I love stilleto heels, nothing feels better ( this thread was inspired by the "How tall is too tall" thread) I can talk about shoes forever and then I can talk about hats forever too. Perfectly made lingerie makes me ecstatic ( Agent Provocatuer is the BEST their ads are delish ! ) the confinement and beauty of a corset laced just right so all the bad things are tucked away and all the good things are spilling out in abundance from all the right places.

One more detail that I find strangely thrilling. I LOVE getting my haircut. I had almost waist length hair when I went in to get my Brooksie Bob about 4 years ago. What a dangerous thrill that was. I found getting it all cut off to be an absolute liberating adventure. To this day I love getting the "Brooks" refreshed. My favorite thrill is when the nape gets shaved, wish that lasted longer, YUM !!! Something divinely naughty about the sensation. Is nape shaving a fetish?

I can go on about the piercings and tattoos but I will let someone else take this to the "naughty" level.

There is just something so absolutely sexy and lovely about slipping into the right outfit. Makes you feel like a super heroine ! It is a foggy Monday in San Francisco and lets share our favorite fashion thrills we all need to feel like Super Heroines today ( and everyday)

My garter belt is the one item that makes me feel the sexiest and most confident. Silly, I know! No one really sees it (except photoshoots and my husband) , but I absolutely love it! Heels are great too, I always feel empowered in heels. Maybe it is because I am so short!

It is so funny that you mentioned getting your hair cut. I just hacked all of mine off as well. My hair was quite long and I just opted for a slightly longer bob that I can still put pin curls into! It was a thrill to change so drastically! But I don't regret it at all, I love my hair short!

There's nothin' like slippin' into a perfect curve huggin' pencil skirt to make me feel super confident! Oh and shoes--if I'm wearin' great shoes then I'm on top of the world!! I will add purses to the list too-- a super cute vintage handbag added to my outfit definitely gets me going! Another thing--I love the ritual of getting ready to go somewhere--curlin' my hair, putting my makeup on, layin' out my outfit etc--the whole process makes me feel sexy and beautiful.

Isnt that the best feeling? I was worried I would regret getting my hair cut and yet I have never looked back in regret. I was in need of a change I had a whole Morticia Addams thing going and I went with the Brooksie Bob !Still keep getting it revamped every few months ! It was like a rebirth for me and I have been loving it since !

FF stockings! I wear them (almost) every day! Modern hosiery cannot compare to the feel of REAL vintage stockings! They are my all-time favorite, but what are the stockings with out something to hold them up and the right shoes to show them off?

If I were to feel my best I'd wear and gorgeous undergarments (silk, lace or transparent nylon), seamed fully fashioned stockings (my faves are from Secrets In Lace and vintage ones), stilettos, beautiful dress, gloves and hat.
Glamorous vintage jewelery since I love the idea of a things having a history.
Curled hair but in an up do.

I'd be placed at a dinner table with friends, eating amazing food and then watch a spectacular and funny show.

Nothing compares to the real deal ! I detest pantyhose with a passion ! The only thing I like of that nature are fishnets as they look really great when properly worn and give a great shape when needed. I do love my fishnets ALOT ! I also adore my high heels I dont get the whole ugly shoe phenomenon. There are no shoes that I own that are all that uncomfortable. Yes some are better than others but I have never felt the urge to wear anything similar to a Birkenstock or a Croc in my life, absolutely abhorent footwear ! If I need comfort I opt for the Audrey Hepburn style ballet flat, those are as comfortable as anything out there and adorably cute !!

yep! they really ARE by crocs! go to Crocs.com and look in the women's section, actually a TON of cute shoes, that are damn near weightless and SUPER comfy!
