So i usually buy semi inexpensive fake lashes for shoots, and no matter how much I love the look and vow to clean/care/store for them as instructed, I find myself compulsively tossing them after a single use.

Has anyone found a pair of lashes nice enough to keep, and if so, what are they??

I agree I never reuse mine. I am thinking of going to a professional to get them put on. A friend gets hers done for $40 and gets monthly touch ups for $25 sounds better to me. But not sure if they are worth the investment.
i found a brand called RED CHERRY that i love. They are relativly inexpensive (under $2) at my local Little Tokyo and they are really short to the kind that make a drag queen proud!

For the most part i use them, NY lashes, and sally hansen. I don't really like the expensive kind, i'd rather spend $14 on a pot of eyeshadow then something I can only get 1-5 uses out of
ardell has ones that are synthetic and they stand up so well and they are extremly dark so that you dont have to put mascara on them. or if you go to korean stores they have them also...they are soooo awesome....they always have sooo many styles in those lashes and their only a dollar or two.
I use Ardell lashes and always use them at least 3 or 4 times before I throw them away unless I do something stupid like fall asleep or cry in them. I wear lashes daily and what I find helps make them reusable is when I remove them (I don't use eye lash remover, just gently pull them off each eye) I pull the dried, excess glue off the lash strip. Then I just kind of comb them with my fingernails to remove excess mascara. I use mascara to blend my naturally blond eyelashes into the black false ones.
thanks for the tips ladies :0)
MAC all the way. I can get at least 5 and at most 10 uses out of them. Just be sure to pull off the old glue before wearing them again, I forgot that once and had one fall in my glass on a date. Opps.
I agree with those that use MAC lashes. I'm very careful with them and also try not to put anything on them. I've never tried any other brand because I'm so pleased with these. Nor have I counted the number of uses, but I know they have been lasting at least 8 or 9 times and some even longer. I like the convenience of re-using them.
I like M.A.C 7 lash!
Natural length. Everyday glamorous. M·A·C Lashes are handmade to exact specifications. Each pattern and design is perfectly shaped and arranged to give a striking effect, whether the look is natural or dramatic. Available in a variety of shapes and densities. If properly cared for, lashes can be reshaped or adorned if desired.
I used to try and teach myself how to put them on. So one day I went to the Dollar Store and found them for like 99 cents. I figure for the price, I get what I pay for. I bought 10.

But there was this one time, I got individual lash pieces glued to my eyeslids, It was really really pretty. I was a little too overwhelmed by the way they made my eyes seem so...."poignant" on my face. Also, the glue was fume(y) and bothered my contacts. I paid 40 dollars for semi permanent lashes and though they were beautiful, I took them out after a week. I have been told they can last a month or more, depending on how you care for them.
yup, ardell lashes are badass as long as you pull the glue off of them after you take them off.... the longest i wore a pair was about a month.

i honestly believe it all boils down to care. i work for mac and, therefore, wear mac lashes but regardless of brand, my lashes last me twenty plus uses. in my opinion, you should be able to clean and care for a pair of lashes until they are almost able to up and walk away on their own. be sure to put your lashes on AFTER your shadow [so as to avoid shadow fallout ruining the color], put your liner on before, and go easy on the mascara. if you arent hard on your lashes, they shouldnt die on you too quickly.
I just bought some Ardell ones the other day. I got the single ones a while back but was so bad at putting them on i got frustrated and threw them away. Yesterday i decided to try again and this time I got the full lashes and cut them so I can just put them in the corners. I still SUCK at ptting them on and it took me forever, but when i peeled them off at night they were still in great condition and seem totally reuseable.
