What do you collect?

I just pulled a small portion of my Disney snow globe collection from storage today. Sitting here looking at them, I'm feeling slightly like a dork for having such an obsession with these things. I know I'm not the only one that harbors an infatuation for collecting... I guess it's just the gut feeling of knowing something will rise in value. Either way, I wanna know what all you PLers out there collect, if you do.

P.S. I'm in the process of dusting the boxes and making them presentable, as I'm considering selling some of them online, but if anyone should feel the need to see photos I can post some later. =0]

I used to collect Disney snow globes, and Tinkerbell stuff. I still have both collections, but they are in storage. Now I collect Louis Vuitton stuff. Purses, wallets, shoes, sunglasses... you get the idea. I also collect hair flowers and iphone cases (silly I know, but I can't help it, it's addicting!). Hmmm, I just realized my collections are all parts of my wardrobe.... interesting.

Too much stuff, thats the problem! I mainly collect artwork, vintage monster toys, comics, all kinds of books and magazines, dunnys, and rat fink stuff. here are a few pictures...just a peek at my house full of chaos.

I started collecting when I was a boy, and have collected many many things over the years. My family had an antiques shop then and I have one now (because I had too much stuff). Most recent active collections are art glass and vintage pinup calendars. I also decided to get original pinup (or hand-signed) art (and pinup artists works) as I could find them. My "PL-welcome" banner is actually a photo of an original Ted Withers that I was lucky enough to get several years ago. Building a collection is sort of like a treasure hunt and everyone likes a treasure hunt don't they?

Anything & everything Audrey Hepburn. I have tons of books, glasses, tshirts, pictures, handbags, you name it. My latest score is an Audrey Hepburn Breakfast At Tiffany's Wine Glass. I'm hoping to nab a couple more so that I can have a whole set! I've even made myself Audrey themed hair flowers for my collection.

My boyfriend and I have a collection of old school robots, sci fi (classics & new) films.
I try to limit my collecting, but I definitely collect lots of comic books too. Art supplies too, but I feel like that's actually useful. I just really have more art supplies than I have time to do arts & crafts. Oh and skateboard banners.

I LOVE Audrey I wish I could collect more Audrey Hepburn things. I was heartbroken when her actual dresses went up for sale a few years ago. What I would give for that ! I ADORE Audrey !

I actually collect vintage hats, I have over 200 of them and I have a smaller collection of hat boxes. Also collect vintage pinups from the WWII era and to the early 50s, have some ultra rare Elvgren and Vargas girls from the era. My husband and I also ended up collecting cars, two muscle cars and a vintage ( 1960s) Porsche 911. These days we are hoping to score an original condition Ford Model A r a 1937-38 Buick or my ultimate dream machine a 1955 Thunderbird.

I collect movie stubs! I have probably more than a hundred by now..I should count them.

I keep all of my movie stubs too! And I write on the back who all I saw the movie with. =0}
Same thing with concert tickets. I saw my first concert in '95 and have kept every stub since.

My husband and I started collecting all the old horror films that Misfits songs were named after, but then it kinda became a full on obsession not just limited by the Misfits. We also have monster comics and toys now too.

I also collect bones, living by the ocean quite a few bones wash up on shore. Lucky for me most of those are already bleached. But I don't mind that process too much if need be. Hunting Season back home in Montana was the jackpot! Weird, huh?
