I am for the most part new to this. I have always loved pinup girls, pinup art and vintage movies. Only about 4 years ago did I discover the pinup culture and lifestyle. Prior to that I had always assumed I was a unique weirdo.

I have seen so many subcultures of pinup and am curious to learn about it all. I always think of myself as a classic, old world film noir type of pinup girl. I really do my best to emulate the look, style and atmosphere of the old world 1920s-late 40s pinup girls.

What type of pinup girl are you? What is your favorite type of pinup?

I don't know if I can sum up my style just yet. Sometimes my style takes a bit more of a "modern retro" look if I don't have time to put my full look together. But I'm pretty Vixen. I wear red and dark plum lipsticks most times. Of course that can change and I can take on a more softer look it; all depends on where I'm going and how much time I have to get ready.

I'm still learning my style; I'm pretty new to this too. I like 40's Holywood glamour and 50's sophistication.

I think it's something you can only really find out trough trial and error.
I still have a little bit of goth girl in me.....so I tend to lean more towards psychobilly stylin on an everyday basis( corsets, monster tees, pencil skirts with skulls, spider webs, etc.) but I am obsessed with the 1940s and try to recreate vintage styles from that time period too.....just depends on my mood I guess.
That kind of where I am. I am a vintage loving girl who adores classic pinup style yet I am also like the character from the film Amelie, a but quirky, eccentric and unusual. I do relate most to the 1930s and 40s though but I am not a purist when it comes to day to day looks

I think I tend to be more late 40's or early 50's, which has everything to do with what shapes look good on me, and what I am drawn too. I LOVE structured shoulders, I love peplum jackets, and I love little sweaters with pencil skirts, as well as full circle skirts. Oh, and umm...I LOVE leopard print anything.

I am so am such a sucker for all the lingerie from the 40's and 50's, from girdles to peignoirs. So...I'd say that while I am not able to dress vintage all the time, those are definitely the shapes I tend toward, and it definitely shapes who I am as a retro-enthusiast and pinup.
Amelie is one of my favorite movies!

I'm fairly new to this as well! I appreciate all things vintage from any decade, but when it comes to styling and modeling, I seem to fit best in the 40s-50s with a touch of modern style (colored hair, tattoos and some piercings.) I love seeing pin up girls of all different styles! That's why this site is so wonderful

I hear ya, sister! Someday's your a skulls and multi-coloured hair kinda girl, the next you want nothing but plain and simple hair beautifully curled and a pretty little tea dress.

I have to say I'm more of your checked shirt and turn up jeans kinda girl on the everyday.

Me too!!!! What am I gonna do when it starts snowing? Oh, thats another whole topic!

But trying to stay ON topic, I'm a late 40's early 50's, circle skirt halter dress, capris and tees, pencil skirt, cardigan kinda girl. ;-)
I love my capris, turn ups and pencil skirts but my major problem is my 34" inside leg. What fits most women is just too short on me! It's so annoying!

ps: On the winter front, heavy duty 'hand knitted' jumper (the sort your Granny knitted for Christmas) is always a winner for me. Ooh and a nice thick lumberjack jacket! I got my newest one for £25!

I'm a 1955-1965 type girl. I love everything from that era. However, I also like some very modern rockabilly/psychobilly style elements. Bright colors, animal prints, skulls, etc. So I guess my style is a 50's classic, rockabilly, psychobilly mix! Short answer, I'm a Drape, lol.
