Pimpin' my page!

So I have been wandering around PL for about two weeks now, and I have noticed that some profiles had neat back grounds and music players etc. I hope this isn't something that people have asked 1,000 times already, but, how do you do it? is it kind of the same thing as pimping out your Myspace (which I haven't been on in ages)?
I want a pretty page too!!!

After logging into your account, click on "My Page" to view your profile. Once there, click "Manage My Page" on the left side of your screen. Look under where it says "Appearance" and click "Appearance"... or you can just click HERE to go straight to it too, lol.
After choosing a pre-made theme that PL already has provided, you can scroll down to where it says "Now, Make It Unique" to change it up to your own preferences. By clicking "All Options", you can change your background and such. It takes some time to play around with, but you'll probably get the hang of it. I've been toying with some CSS layouts on here for people to use, so hopefully I'll have some available soon.

Also, when you're on your profile, you can click "Edit" at the top of the info boxes to change the information in them. You can change whether or not your photos appear as a slideshow or as albums, for example.
You can go to www.playlist.com to create a playlist, then put the code in your "Widget" box.
You can also re-arrange the order of how things appear on your page, by simply scrolling over the top of the box you want to move until this little guy appears

You can then click and drag the box to what ever order you'd like it to appear in... if that makes sense.

Nothing hard, just what Tessa said, you just have to experiment a little and play with the colours and the backgrounds of your choice (you can find them at google/deviantart/photobucket)
and then choose on the one you like the best.
I had a hard time too in the beginning!

I'm still gunna make a quick tutorial like Edson suggested.
I just downloaded CamStudio so I can record my screen along with audio of my voice giving instructions. I just recorded a test tutorial, but I'll probably re-record it tomorrow sometime when my toddler isn't asleep right next to me.

Bahhh. It ended up being a 17 some-odd minute video. I had it fully uploaded to YouTube, but when it went to process, it said the video was too long.

Aw boo! 17 min tutorial though? Awesome!!! I am slowly but surely figuring it out. Just had to get in there and experiment a little. I didn't see the little bit where you can up load a photo as your background, but I found it and now am playing with that! He he. But you should still try and post a shorter version of your tutorial so other noobs can see!
