Mad Men, Watch and Disscuss (spoilers within)

The new season of Mad Men started two weeks ago, and it looks pretty good so far. So who's watching??

A few things I found interesting this season:

Peggy's new boyfriend thinks she's a virgin... that's an interesting lie.

Sally has a stalker, ewwwww. That kid has always been creepy.

Don is hiring hookers?? This man could get any woman he wanted the first season, not he has to pay, sad!

Don's secretary's boyfriend called him pathetic. No one, especially not a young guy like that would have said that before.

I don't like seeing him fall like this, he was kind of a jerk, but I liked him as he was. Not like this... it's sad.

Thoughts??

Here's my dos centavos since I finally finished watching Season 3 and am onto 4. Betty is a well..b****. Even the creators talk about she's one of those people who should've never been parents in the first place. Don is just lost and it's not a surprise since he was caught off guard with the whole divorce thing. I don't think him getting an escort makes him desperate..it was on a Thanksgiving weekend in the early 60s where else was he gonna find a random one night stand? This was a time when everyone was expected to be with family. Honestly I just feel bad for him..having his family broken up by his raving b**** wife.Poor guy.. : (
Anyway I love this time period and I think I would've loved working at an ad agency like that especially with Peggy and Joan's wardrobe! : )

Ok..this is random and I hope no one kills me for it but does anyone else think Joan's curves might be padding? lol.. it's just that the rest of her body is quite thin..Not that there's anything wrong with it. : P

Wow...gorgeous indeed!! So it is possible to look like one of the cartoon girls I draw..lol. Actually I saw one punk girl this summer who looked exactly like one of my characters..with hips, thighs, everything! So so hot!!! : P

Last nights episode was much better then last weeks.

Peter and Trudy are preggo, and good for them! They've been trying for so long. I hope we get to see more of Trudy, she has such a great wardrobe. And I love seeing vintage pregnant fashions.

I'm glad Alison left, she was just a bit to emo after sleeping with Don. What did she expect, that he would marry her? Welcome to office life darling.

What does everyone think of Peggy becoming a beat? I guess it was bound to happen, but I don't like it. I have a deep dislike of the whole beat movement. The lesbian angle is an interesting one though.

My favorite quote of the night happened at the party:

Peggy: I have a boyfriend

Lesbian girl (I don't remember her name): He doesn't own your vagina

Peggy: No, but, he's renting it.

I'm nearly a week late at this point. When Pete kinda strong armed his Father In Law into giving him ad business for the rest of their products did you think, "What an aspiring young man! Well played Pete." or did you think, "What an ass!"

I agree with Roxy about Alison, "Welcome to office life darling."

Still no Betty in that episode. Wonder where she's hiding.

Richie your input would be greatly appreciated. It's always interesting to compare real life to TV/movie life especially from somebody who was not just alive at the same time but on the street in question.
