When I go to bed at night I always need a couple of good chapters to rest my head for the night and stop my brain from thinking of the to do list that is piling up at the house, I just finished reading all of the True Blood books and now I need a new read.

So I was wondering what is your favorite read right now?

Now thats a group of books I need to read are they any good?
I'm rather into my vampires so I gave the Twilight Saga a go just after the first film was released I have to say whilst I didnt rate the film much I fell in love with the books lol.
'The Beach' is also very good I plan to give 'The Lovely Bones' a read next also 'American Psycho'.
I've attempted a Stephen King novel called Blaze but can't seem to get into it at the moment I have too much of a scatterbrain currently.
Oh and I have a stack load of Anne Rice books to get through at some point haha! I need to write a proper list x
Kristy the True blood books are awesome. its alittle bit different in some parts compared to the show on TV but you pretty much get the gist of it all. There are 11 books and I read them in about 2 months. I totally agree about the movie vs the books for Twilight. They just don't compare at all.

Have you read any of Charlaine Harris' other books? She has a couple of other mystery series out there--I just love how most of her heroines are mostly Southern. I also love Phillipa Gregory...she's a must read if you like historical fiction. Oh, and right now I'm reading: John Connolly's The Gates (which is about the gates of hell) and The Book of Lost Things-really quirky and fun, I'm also reading His Dark Materials Trilogy. I am obsessed with the Georgina Kincaid series--it's about a succubus who hates being a succubus--by Richelle Mead. One more suggestion is the House of Night Series by P.C. and Kristin Cast, that's if you like vampires. Sorry--I read a lot. I could have listed a ton more but it would probably take you a year to just read my suggestions.
Thank you for all of your suggestions. yes i call tell you like to read it can be addicting. I will have to check out some of those for sure.

I love the Southern Vampire novels written by Charlaine Harris. I'm not a fan of the HBO series they made about them.. it's rubbish... BUT the books are wonderful. I fell in love with each and every character.

I also really like the book, A Clockwork Orange. but don't attempt to read it if you have a short attention span. it has it's own language of slang and what not.

uhm... Running With Scissors was good. Crazy but herra good...
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova is a great read, one of my favorite books of all time!
DARK TOWER book series by Stephen King. So addicting, so enthralling.... love love!

Before that I was reading the Golden Compass series... seriously serious stuff, so much better than that kiddie movie!
I love "The Success Principles" by jack Canfield. The message he sends is amazing and it truly changes lives. It has changed mine supremely!! - XOXO Aubrey
