Just wondering the best way to go about making a personal modeling website for myself, any ideas on material to include and what not? Best free websites, what sort of pics to include, etc.. Thanks!

I've been playing around with a personal website at wix.com. They have a lot you can do for customization and personalization options, and you can buy a domain name from them so it won't always be wix.com/yournamehere, lol, or however the URL set-up is when it's through them.
As far as content goes, you'd definitely want a gallery of your work. As far as *what* photos to use, just use your own personal favorites. It is YOUR site, after all, so have it portray who you are in the industry and where you want your career to go, rather than just what you'd think other people would wanna see.
Maybe merchandise? You could sell autographed prints, easily. Calendars and T-Shirts are also fairly simple to have made.
Have a bio page telling who you are and where you're from.
A resume/credits list of all the photographers and whatnot that you've worked with, along with links to their sites.
You could blog. Let people know what's going on witcha'.
Annnd, what else... maybe a page of other sites your on, so people can find you there as well?

I have been playing around with wix too! I think there are just sooo many options for making a website that I just don't know what would fit me best. I am a bit technically illiterate as well.lol

I <333 Wix to pieces. My site isn't finished, but I went ahead and bought my domain and linked it to Wix. TessaLeTaunt.com is now active! Haha. I'm gunna completely change the style of it, though. It's too simple and very dark for my taste. I figured I'd do quick and easy, and then work my way up to something awesome, lol. The only thing is that my Wix premium membership is the cheapest one they offer, so it's still got Wix logos all over the place. =0[ Oh well. All I wanted was my own domain so people could find it easier. Mwahahaha.

There are free website builders out there if you google it but I'm afraid that they will all have some sort of big logo slapped on the page. The other alternative is to find a template and edit it yourself or out source it to some designer who will do it cheap. Usually people in poorer country's will do this for a few dollars an hour.
Most good hosting companys offer a free site builder tho when you sign up for a domain name and hosting, but i don't know what they are like.
If you need templates i have literally thousands. I have some good portfolio sites, but of course you will need be able to edit them.

Best things to include a gallery of your best work. Bio page. Contact page with how to get ahold of you, include you stats weight, height, etc. Include your resume with credits of who you have worked with including links to their sites is a plus.

Wix is the best place for a quick, easy site. You can even point your own .com to it if you want!

Whenever I make a website for photography, or that has photography on it that I don't want stolen, I always use flash. Check out www.reavesinc.com for an example there's no right click save as option.
