I personally can't even get out of bed in the morning if I don't have good music to bribe me into doing so.
I'm always on the lookout for new ear candy, so share your favorite tunes! If you choose to post a playlist, please be sure to click "No" on the Auto Start option. =0D
The first playlist below is the current list featured on my page, and containing particularly new-age stuff.
The second list being my favorite oldies, and used to be on my page until I decided to change it up a bit...

I rarely ever listen to the radio, myself. I usually tune in to Pandora or AOL's online radio. They have several different stations I love, again depending on what kind of music mood I'm in.
Also, instead of having a CD player, my car has an iPod dock, so I listen to everything I have on there as opposed to dealing with what's on the radio.

I like player 2 better. My tastes in music have shifted back to the music I grew up with. rockabilly, dowop. It's to the point I can't listen to anything else. I don't listen to radio except sometimes in the car I'll put on the classical station. I have to listen to music when I work.
Depends on what I'm getting ready for...or what is going on in my head/life at that time.

If it's to workout...it's a random mix of anything from 2 live crew to french electro pop

If I'm getting glam'd up before a night out, its stuff like Miss Kittin, Stereo Total, Willie Mitchell, The Kinks, Federico Franchi, Vitalic, Felix Da Housecat, Vive La Fete, La Casa Azul..and on and on...

If i'm pissed off...or just looking to release negative energy or get through a tough time...i play hard industrial stuff like Combichrist.
I <3 Felix Da Housecat.

Oddly enough, I never listen to music when I'm mad or upset. Especially if it's angry music, lol. It would probably only make things worse. I used to write music when I was pissed and needed something better to do, though. I'd play piano and tab it out as I went along. =0]

Yeah I hear you on that one. For me, when I'm sad...i can't listen to anything. I'm easily influenced and triggered emotionally by others, and music...i forgot the term for that... anyway, writing is very therapeutic. I used to write a lot....now i just give myself alone time..or go running.

I pretty much have ALL of those on my iPod. Deadmau5 being a personal favorite (if I happen to be in the electronic mood)

However, I listen to a lot of everything. Metric (I'm stoked that they're so big now!), Squirrel Nut Zippers, Pink Martini, etc, etc. I love them all! I tend to lean more toward swing music though. And I particularly like the swing revival music that came of the early 90's!

I'm pretty all over the chart, I love Rockabilly and psychobilly. But I when I'm working out, I tend to gravitate more towards bands like Skinny Puppy and Combichrist. I also love 80's goth rock like The Cure and Sisters of Mercy! But my two all time favorite bands are The Damned and Alkaline Trio. I can't get enough of them!
My favourite thing in the world is our internet radio!!! over 10,000 stations to choose from!
Alternately, podcasts- I've currently got Big Band Times playing and it's just divine!

If you want more modern stuff, The Creepshow from Canada come highly reccomended- Frantic punkabilly with classic female vocals - the bastard child of The Mistfits and Stray Cats. I don't really listen to much modern stuff, nothing really grabs me, but those cats definitely did!
