I wanted to share some progress of my kitchen.

My mom walked into the kitchen the other day and said "its weird walking into your kitchen and feeling like i am at my grandmothers house"

Wow, good job! I love the teal. It's one of my favorite colors for home decorating. <3
I want a real P.O.S house so I can have fun tearing stuff down and rebuilding it beautiful. Mwahahaha.

Also, boo to non-functional Kit-Cats. I have a black one. His pendulum/tail came up missing while moving. He now sits motionless on my bookshelf. ='0[

I got this from my boyfriends grandmother that died last December, so this kit cat has some sentimental value for sure. They wanted to through it away and my "Mother in Love" snagged her. Although i would like for it to function, i do like it the way it is.

Almost everything in my kitchen is a conversation piece!

Very cute! I love your beautiful turquoise color, I have it all over my house too. I think that white cabinets would look REALLY nice - I'm not a huge fan of wood cabinets, just because they're so dark and make the room feel smaller. White would really open it up more. Your dinette set is to die for too, and I LOVE those cat/dog wall pieces!

Thanks guys, it is still very much a work in progress! I am always finding new things to add to it. I should take some new pictures of the things my mom brought back for me from South Dakota!

awesome work you have inspired me to really bust my hienie to get going more on my kitchen. I have been miss procrastinator about it. Got stuff never put them up etc.

Just adding, these are my curtains... Not much has changed just trying to dial in on the 1950's theme... still waiting to do the cabinets floor, and probably some crown molding on the ceiling.

Be careful with those vintage appliances! Nothing like an electrical short to ruin your day...and I know from experience with my grandmother's 40's toaster that they're great....if you like charcoal as punishment for letting it toast an extra 15 seconds.
