So, I just went back to work after a week and a half of vacation... And I've gotta say, I'm really looking forward to the day when I can call it quits with the daily grind and retire to being a good old fashioned housewife!! Those gals knew where it's at!
Being pretty and making dinner for my man, maybe chasing around a rugrat or 2... That's the life!!!
Who's with me!?!?
XOXO

i am 100% with you. I hope I can aford to do that one day. Bake/cook in cute aprons, keep the house clean, be creative, learn new things, make sure my hubby is comfortable and satisfied. yep im down!
I am with ya sista!
It is a good life :-)
I'm totally picking up what your putting down!
Being a housewife aint easy either! Here's a little story:

(I swear I am involuntarily living the I Love Lucy show it's not even funny...it has caused me to have an unhealthy obsession with the show because I feel like I'm living it).

I tell that to my man all of the time and he just snickers at me because we are both struggling artists. He is in music and me...a little bit of everything. I've been his support while he tours (total I Love Lucy scenario) but what I really want to do is my crafts and have art shows with wine and cheese while he still does what he loves but gets the well deserved big bucks for his hard work! I always need social interaction and attention and I'm always trying to weasel my way into videos (which I've done already). I also always try cooking amazing dinners and they turn out terrible! I made two pies that I spent a lot of money and time on for last Thanksgiving (with his mom, sisters, and brother) and when one finally cooled I thought it would thicken but it didn't...so it was like a pie soup. The other was dry and rubbery...almost like chewing on a sneaker. They all ate them and so politely pretended like they were delicious saying, "Mmm Seanna, these are good...where'd you get the recipes?" I took a bite and ick! I got so embarrassed I excused myself from the table and went outside to smoke a cig. He came out and kissed me on the forehead for trying and tried to convince me they didn't suck...until we both started giggling. OK. I had to give in. I went back in and ate the REAL dessert which was the delicious Pumpkin Pie his mother made and we all started laughing. Now if that isn't an episode I don't know what is!
Not the perfect housewife but I look wonderful in an apron and heels ;)
UUHH!! I would LOVE to be a full time housewife!! I would take as long as i wanted getting ready when i woke up, cleaning the house on some sort of 'schedule' like.. laundry on thursdays, mopping on mondays, salon on fridays.. HAHA.. redecorating whenever i felt like it..i would even have cute outfits for gardening...the whole nine yards.. cocktail parties with the neighbors.. a full course dinner for me and my man every night... this has been my dream for EVER!.. notice how it doesnt REALLY include kids.. but i guess i could work one in.. ;) Now I REALLY hate this cube I'm sitting in!! thanks ladies!
Haha!! That's awesome! I'm basically in the same boat. Both artists, hoping to make it big!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of us!!
XOXO

Awe, Seanna, that is too cute.

To be honest I don't know about this "old fashioned, full time, house wife" thing. I mean sure I'd like to one day get married and have kids and what not but I'm not the house wife type... Ok I'm lying, I cook, I clean, I sew, and I knit, so I am the house wife type. I just don't know if I want to dedicate every moment of everyday to that.

Only time will tell, I suppose.

I've been a housewife for the last 10 years for the most part. I JUST went back to work out of necessity last week. Being home and taking care of your family is a very rewarding job and life.
