So i usually buy semi inexpensive fake lashes for shoots, and no matter how much I love the look and vow to clean/care/store for them as instructed, I find myself compulsively tossing them after a single use.

Has anyone found a pair of lashes nice enough to keep, and if so, what are they??

I have actually been able to find a few lashes! I am addicted to MAC. Their lashes are more expensive than the kind you might find at Walgreens or some place like that, but they last for a few uses!! The lady I asked said they're good for about 3-4 uses, but I was able to get about 7 or 8 uses. Not bad :)
If those are a little out of your budget, and you have a Sally's Beauty Supply store around, they have lashes for about 3-4$, and those last a while too! I found these nifty ones with rhinestones on *clearance* that rock my world <3
I do the SAME THING! They just never look the same after they have been used! I definitely just buy the cheap $3 ones, so I don't feel so bad about tossing them.
i raid sally's regularly!! that's good to know about MAC though.

Yes! Mac is amazing! As long as you take care when removing them they should last.
ME too! ive tryed, most of the time they get all wonky anyways.
I re-use my lashes tonnes. Especially half lashes (M.A.C # 20's), I can use those up to 15 times. I always purchase lashes from pretty good brands which makes a HUGE difference in how many applications you'll get. I always put my lashes on last and never use products on them, that probably makes a difference too.
XoXoX
wonky is probably the most appropriate word i have ever heard describing the state of faltering fakies. so much so that it should be in the dictionary.

If you guys aren't aware of it MAC has a recycle program where if you bring back six of your empty MAC cosmetic containers they give you a free lipstick or eyeshadow! That includes the little eyelash cases! Just an incentive not to throw it away ;)
Alittle off the subject... but I got my eye makeup done by a MUA before my pin-up pageant and my request to her was "Make it last alllll night". So she gave me fake eyelashed but instead of using glue she used black liquid latex. They lasted through 100 degrees F, high humidity, and all night dancing to the Brokedown Playboys. I even slept in them and taught hot vinyasa yoga the next morning. If you looking for longevity of wear, then I would definitely recommend using latex. She also used individual lashes instead of strip lashes.
BUY THEM ON EBAY!! I always have a few pairs in my kit at all times. You can buy them in lots on ebay, like10 - 12 pairs in a lot (or more if you want). It costs about $10 including shipping right to your house! Works out to be cheap enough to toss them out after each use if you want to!
total MAC addict and looooove their lashes and the fact that they are a little more expensive makes me use them at least 3-4 times, also Sephora Brand has fantastic lashes and you can never go wrong with Ardell
They totally never look the same after being used.. too much glue on the edging etc.. I'll pass on reusing them besides I'd rather just buy new ones =)
