Personally, The list is very long. But Rocky Horror Picture Show will remain at the top! I am looking to download a few good flicks. What is your favorite/ what do you recommend?

1.SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK!! the best movie ever!!
2. ...recently my favourite scene from 'Doubt' - gossip
3. of course brilliant 'Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf'
4. and amazing scene from 'Sunset Boulevard': ...I am big. it's the pictures that got small.
I LOVE IT!
I agree with Lola - Synecdoche, New York is really rather great.
I'm a fan of cult 'coming of age' films and I'm partial to a bit of comedy now and then. I also like drama!
Amelie, My First Mister, Ghost World, Into The Wild, La Haine, The Dreamers.

I'll probably come back and add more to this list every day!!

Enjoy! xx
Alright it seems I must see Synecdoche, My best friend has been begging me to sit and watch it!
The Wizard of Oz will always be my all-time favorite movie!!!

My list is very long too XD hahaha. This are just the ones that pop to mind! If you want to know more about any of the movies, I'd be happy to give you my reasons for recommending any of them :)
My list is pretty long too...and the rocky horror show is on its own level. But I will say:
Blue velvet
Secretary
the nightmare before christmas (I would not be allowed to call myself an animator anymore if I didnt include this)
How to marry a millionaire
Metropolis
and ghostbusters... "back off man I'm a scientist"
RHPS will always be dear to my heart; I used to play Janet on stage 'back in the day."

My favorite movie of all time though is Bram Stoker's Dracula. It's such a tragic love story.

You may also want to check out Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, Equilibrium, From Hell, Van Helsing, the Underworld Trilogy, Crank... there's plenty more but it's too early for my brain to function.

I guess you could say I like my movies dark and f*ed up. :P
Blue Velvet - perfect choice! (It reminds me Lost Highway-great). and How To marry a millionaire - you have to watch it :) Good advice Lilly!

As for our subculture & lifstyle my two favorite films of all time, the first which is a "no brianer"
would have to be "The Wild One". Film'd close to the California area where I grew up in Hollister & just a short distance from Santa Cruz.
The second & hardest to find is called "The Loveless" filmed here in the Southeast. Willam Dufoe in his first film ever ( he looks to be 22 yrs old) & co starring my pal & former bandmate Robert Gordon. No less than action packed with vintage greaser motorcycle cats, hot cars a, redneck bar & music score that was performed by Robert Gordon & yours truley. You gals will no less than swoon, & you fellas will turn green with envy at the 1950's bikes & cars!
My gal found it in stock at Netflicks! Grab some PBR or Dixie beer satled peanuts & popcorn & buckle up for this one.
My Favourite Brunette!
There are too many to choose from..but I'll have to watch "Synedoche"..
I bought a copy of "How To Marry a Millionaire" at the local Blockbuster for 8 bucks! What a deal!
I also love "All About Eve"..Bettie Davis is brilliant as usual in this and it has some great dialouge.
Also "His Girl Friday", "Some Like It Hot", "Jezebelle", "The Red Shoes" and pretty much most of the classic Hollywood movies..they really don't make movies like they used to..
And I'll throw in "Dark Knight" (surprise!!) because Ledger's performance was insane..worth the Oscar for every minute he was on screen. And NO it has nothing to do with him being dead or not..also loved "Kick Ass"..Hit Girl rules! : P
For subculture flicks, it's "Repo Man" and "Filth and the Fury" (note, that's punk culture..).
