Hey ladies, I need some help. I have been trying to find a foundation that is quite cakey I have used the old Max Factor Pan-Cake before which was fabulous but it didnt last too long and it's no longer in production and I am very very reluctant to get the Pan-Stik as it is just too small.
I want a foundation that is quite thick and gives a 'flawless' appearance, I have tried so many foundations and none of them seem too work or if they do, they are way too oily and noone wants to have mascara marks down their face from oily foundation.
Please help, I NEED some wonderful foundation!!

Thanks in advance and sorry for the rambling

There are a couple of MAC foundations that are super thick, but those are the only ones I've ever used.

You should hop over to the Dollhouse, www.pinupdollhouse.com, and ask the pros! Dollhouse Kitty and the girls there will be able to help for sure.
I completely 100% standby Cover Girl's "fresh complexion" It goes on smoothly and doesn't appear cakey what so ever, it doesn't sweat off, plus it won't put in a dent in your pocket like mac products sometimes do.
Diorskin is nice and gives you a lovely dewy appearance, especially if you use the matching powder foundation. I am dead-goth pale, so I found it to give my skin a bit of an orange-y look.

I am now using the Armani Silk foundation with MAC studio Fix over it (another powder foundation). It covers my skin nicely and I haven't noticed any excess oil issues with it.

Good luck; I know how hard it is to find a good foundation.
Thankyou so much for all your help here ladies =] I really appreciate, Ive gone for MAC Studio fix fluid and fingers crossed that will work just fine =]
If not I am going to have to trace the internet for the Max Factor Pan-Cake because trust me it was the best foundation for a pin up girl I have ever seen!!

Hey girl! I would try a mousse foundation. Revlon has one. That might give you the thick "cake like" coverage you are looking for. I have been through a million foundations and am stuck on Laura Mercier. Her coverage is fantastic. I love that flawless matte finish and her products are the only ones that have given me just that. Also, Lancome has a matte foundation that isn't bad (Tiente Idol). I have used it at a couple shoots and it photographs very well. Hope I helped!
well ,i have to say i have been threw them all, but the question is what are you trying to hide?? if you have good skin ,then when you use some thick ass foundation all you see is that and not your skin, and when you are out int the day time like car shows ,i can't even tell you how many girls i see with horrible make-up, its way to thick you need a foundation tint like neoutogena or something like that and use a heavy powder? lets just say its all about trail and error that's how i learned!!
personally i try to stay away from foundation. all i use is concealer and some light powder, but when i did use foundation, i absolutely loved maybelines (sp?) instant age rewind foundation. it has spf in it, it's very affordable, and great coverage, not to mention, i loved the way it made my skin feel. if i ever go back to using foundation, that is the one i plan on using. i have tried mac, but for some reason, they just leave my skin feel really weird, i have broken out a few times because of their foundation, but everyone's different.
Another thought if you want to look like your skintone is evened out but not like you're really wearing anything is to use a powder foundation- I used MAC Studio Fix and applied it with a brush. Then spray MAC Fix+ over it lightly (I'm not sure exactly what an equivalent product would be. The bottle says "skin refresher/finishing mist." The guy at the MAC counter turned me on to it.) Then use your powder brush to brush it all over your face. I was amazed- my skintone was even but didn't look (or feel) like it had that powdery "mask" look. I am not sure if the product has any SPF though.
