This was in the old forum, but I'm bringing it back.  What's your favorite alcoholic drink?

When I'm chillin (or playing caps or A**h***), I like beer - Bud Light, Newcastle, Guinness.

When I'm feeling girly, I like sex on the beach, midori sour, or purple hooters.

When I want to get effed up, it's all about the Jagermeister!

So, what's your poison?

hmmm...... tough question. i try to make it a point to never drink the same drink more than once when i go out :) there are so many out there and i haven't even made a dent in the world of drinks. my go to beverage is definitely beer.
foofoo drink: marines with lime (basically a cape cod) or maybe an absolut ruby red martini
hard liquor: i would have to either say 7 deadly sins or vodka straight up
Absinthe is my winter drink. I tend to reserve Patron for the height of the summer vacation season... Brings back memories.

Grey Goose is my every day go-to drink. ;)

I drink Jager on occasion, when I'm feeling a bit rough around the edges.
absynthe? isn't that illegal? :) how'd you get your hands on that awesomeness? :) so lucky, i love absynthe!

I drink a lot of beer, ale, cider and stout. In the winter months I like a good pint of Guinness (went to the Guinness Factory this year and got so much free drink!) and in the summer I like a nice cold Bud or cider.
When I'm out on the town I drink Jack Daniels and Ginger Ale, or Vodka & Cranberry.
If it's a cocktail I'm after I do love a WooWoo or a Strawberry WooWoo.
Rum, with a bit of rum, mixed with anything fruity. If it comes with an umbrella I've probably drank it and loved it.

My all time favorite "could drink a jug of everyday if that didn't mean having a problem" drink are the strawberry banana daiquiris I make at home.
You've been to the Guinness Factory? Lucky! What is a woowoo?

Absinthe is legal in the US, just without the wormwood (that's the hallucinogenic ingredient that made the original version illegal here). We have some here at the house, and it is nasty! Sorry, Cherry, it's just not my cup of tea! :)

it's refreshing
mine's easy easy...

stick it in ice
wait a bit and pour it in a rocks glass

at home I just keep a bottle in the freezer
I tried to post earlier today from my iphone, but it wouldn't go through. :(

At any rate, absinthe IS legal in the US of A since like 2007. It does contain wormwood, however the thujone content is much lower (seriously, seriously lower) and more tightly regulated than the European versions. Still, it's much tastier and gives a much better buzz than that southernwood-containing "Absente" that was the big thing several years ago.

If you search bevmo.com, you will see several varities for sale. I'm partial to the Kubler; it's got a very light taste and a pale white louche. The St. George is made close to where I live, but it's a bit too harsh for my palate.
