"We Are The New Vintage"
Lovelies,
I've recently begun upgrading my costumes. Since I'm not performing in a small town anymore, I don't have to constantly come up with new pieces, which inevitably means new costumes, to keep them entertained. So, I'm trying to concentrate more on quality instead of quantity.
I purchased a proper corset, with steel front clasps and all of that. I have a performance in three weeks, and have to practice getting that sucker off gracefully.
Any tips or tricks from performers well practiced in removing tight-laced corsets on stage? I'm sure practice makes perfect, but I just wanted to see if there was anything I could understand better.
Smooches,
Savonne

Thank you, lovelies!
The song I'm doing is a very demure song in French by Jane Birkin, so there isn't alot of room for KAPOWS and SHABANGS. I have to be somewhat fluid about the whole affiar. There are some meausures in the music that are very passionate, so I'll have to take advantage of that and use it to really pull those strings loose. I worked on some choreography last night and it's coming along. Understanding the way the corset is laced is important. I have so much respect for those of you who can slip out of those things like butter. It's definitely an art!
Thanks for the tips, ladies :)
Thanks for all the tips.
I think example videos are in order!
