social clubs....?

hey gals,

i was just curious... are any of you ladies involved in social/jacket clubs of any kind? i know there are girls out on the west coast who are still into that sort of thing, but i never see it out here on the east coast.
i still think it's a wicked cool idea, to have a bunch of dolls who are all into the same thing, getting together & having a blast.... goes along with my thought that i probably should have lived in a different decade ; )
any thoughts?

Actually, I've been thinking of starting up a social/jacket club here in Detroit! Unfortunately, I'm the only dame of my type I've seen out here....I'm sure if I put out feelers that kittens would come out of hiding. :) Oh, and I KNOW that I was born in the wrong decade. hehe

Same here in the bible belt of Georgia, and yes I was born in the wrong decade. I'm told this everyday!

I am in L.A. but not part of any social/jacket club.

I am a member the the Bombshells, est. 1998. You can check out our page at www.thebombshells.net We are located in northern California, and around the San Francisco Bay Area.

The club was founded by Rachelle Jacobs (Badluckbetty13 on myspace) and Tanya Boss. It was originally formed as a way for a group of friends to hang out and go drinking and dancing together. We all love Rockabilly, Psychobilly and punk music and try to get together at least once a month. It has now evolved to a group of friends who host one of the biggest and funnest events in the Bay Area "Booze Broads and Hotrods." Our party this year is going to be our most ambitious to date. In the past we brought Levi Dexter to San Francisco for the first time, hosted Marti Brom for the first time in over 5 years, and Kim Lenz reunited the Jaguars for the first time in 7 years just for our show in 2007. This year we are hosting an all day Rockin' Festival at the Clarion Hotel near SFO Airport. The headliner is Jack Rabbit Slim ( http://www.myspace.com/jackrabbitslimuk ) and it is their first time playing in California.

I live in the middle of no where kenosha wisconsin! I wish i could start a jacket club but no one out here that i know is into it! I hope theres more of a network up in Milwuakee because im hoping to go there for college
